Surely phone cable can't be worth that much, where would they even use it? Or maybe it's the new era of sign nicking to melt down for metal or whatever they do with it..
All the businesses locally can't use their card machines etc., plus plenty of old people without any means of communication - pretty s**tty thing to do!
The woman I spoke to from BT last night said it would be fixed by "30th November" - I nearly choked!!

could be an ordered job, the cable length is quite long, so it could be that it has been stolen for some specific job.

its abit of a weird one this! it will be an armoured cable but apart from that it not got much scrap value. as ita a pain in the arse t o seaperate the metal and PVC sheathing

its acctually surprisingly easy to split the casing, all you need is an axe and a spare half hour
