for those that dont know me iv been strength training for 16 months and my focus is on strongman. lifted weights for a couple of years before that but nothing serious or structured (no deadlift or squats etc, just a bit of chest, shoulders and arms lol)

plan for 2013 is to firstly lose a bit of fat and then build back upto near 90kg BW but leaner than i was. comp wise i will do any that appeal to me really, id really like to do Dragons to break away from the novice scene and play with some of the top u90's to see how i compare.

current 1rm's:

Deadlift - 240
DOH dead - 210
Squat - 180 / 170 beltless / 182.5 wraps
Front - 140 / 130 beltless
Bench - 150 paused (close grip)
Log - 110 (strict)
FTOH - 112.5 (axle)
Strict press (oly bar) - 102.5

Long term goals:
Deadlift 300 / Squat 250 / Front Squat + Bench 200 Paused / FTOH 150 / Strict 140 @ 100kg


i will be following my own program that has elements of a couple of more known and tested methods. its based on what iv found works well for me and my personal goals.

cheers Dave i cant wait to see how much i can progress next year. i put around 30kg on my strict log this year, so even if i can do half of that this year il be laughing.

thanks adam, im really happy with my progress so far. i dont think progress will be as good in 2013 cos 2012 i gained about 10kg in BW over the year. having said that it wasnt very lean gains so if i can get upto a lean(ish) 90kg i should still make some nice improvements hopefully

BW was @ 86.5 last time i checked other day. diet still s**t, sleep has been good. dont start new diet and plans til next week as i have a lot on this week.

Deadlifts - doing all in oly shoes to how it goes
70 x 5
110 x 5
130 x 3
add belt
145 x 5
165 x 5
188.5 x 1
188.5 x 5 - straps this set
110 x 3, 3 , 3

started using some mix grip again, last time i remember doing mix grip is feb and it was harder than i had planned set up wrong on 1st 188 set so re-did it with straps. top sets was tougher than expected. not sure if its cos i did more work b4 them as im used to working up in low reps and saving all for top set or the unhealthy lifestyle over crimbo.

every exercise was a killer on grip. hands hurt like f**k know. well day 1 over with, got plenty of work in so all is good.

ok so food was good yesterday but 1 of kids is ill so i only got a few hours kip here n there.

upper body warm up

seated press
20 x 5
40 x 5
60 x 5
72.5 x 5 x 5 sets


bench
60 x 5
80 x 5
100 x 5 x 5 sets


circuit
10xrev flys into 10xflys into 20xraises
2 min between circuits
x 4 circuits


pressing wasnt as easy as i thought but still wasnt hard, expected the reps to be much faster tho. doing seated press from top down, only 2nd time doing it this way so i expect it to progress nicely once im more used to it. bench got better as the sets went along which made a nice change.
had quite a few niggles over the sets, a bit shocked as the weight is quite light.
despite being very unfit n hating cardio/conditioning type stuff i quite enjoyed the circuits
