Ok, I'll start a build up to that date and see how it goes, not going to do it unless I'm on form by then though.

That place do one off sessions? Might pop over in a couple of weeks.

Had 2 plates on top of each other for these and it was too much of a deficit really. I could only just get to the bar and it put me in a pretty awkward start position so back to one plate next week.

Very steady session tonight. Everything felt easy enough, but even after a month off heavy training my left knee is still playing up a touch on squats :/ Not really sure how to go about training them at the moment. I get my best gains by far doing a few sets of 5 a couple of times a week but this screws my knees after a while. Also my deads track my squats pretty closely, so it messes them up as well. Need a plan really.

Strong stuff, I have put my name down for the comp in Sheffield although I don't expect big numbers.

Not sure on the IPF judges part though!!

all of the judge are at least divisional judge standard been on that one day course. In theory no different than a yne open event but obviously i dont think elekio or ivanko bars or weights but its an unofficial event with at least 6-7 first timers that was the aim of the comp.

Are there weight categories? Might have a go just to see what I can bench by then, think I could get something decent(ish) again soon. Ahhh, just remembered you said it was Wilks based, so no weight categories?

That would be almost exactly a year since the shoulder operation with 12 weeks to get ready, can't miss out on it really can I? Barring a disaster I'll be there.

I lost about 4 pounds while I was on holiday, so down to 17st or 108kg. Back up a couple of pounds today, think I'll try to stay around this weight for now, do a small cut and dehydrate to get to 105 for the comp.

I'll just have to see how the build up goes mate Grin The way I have been feeling on bench I think I might get 190+ on the day, but that is a complete guess at the moment. Also, I have a little weight to drop, I'm about 108/109, hopefully I'll be able to minimise strength loss by doing most of that as water.
