I'm trying to stop smoking. It is not the most fun thing in the world, especially when I've had a drink.
So... how many of you smoke? Any quitters? What did you do to distract yourself during cravings?

I recently gave up snus because it was making my teeth go brown. I took up drinking lots of green tea to distract myself. It is impossible to drink and not smoke, so I suggest not drinking.

Have you tried vaping?
On a related note, any non-smokers out there tempted to try out vaping? I certainly am. I know the e-cigarette target market are people who already smoke conventional cigarettes, but I wonder how many non-smokers out there have gone out to buy them..

I guess my point is whether it'll tempt the ones (like myself I suppose) who like the thought of being able to sit back and ponder life with a cigarette in one hand and a coffee in the other but have never done so because smoking is so bad for you.
There is a certain romanticism still attached to smoking. One of the French profs here in Oxford once told me at a dinner party that all the creatively intelligent people he could think of smoked. I disagreed (never smoke, it's so f**king bad for you).
