We are pleased to welcome a few guests from the South East division.Looks like 73 in total with 40 on Saturday and 33 on Sunday.Ten ladies entered.We will work hard to make the program run as smooth as possible but patience from every one and help when needed will be most welcome as usual. Clarification on lifting order: Saturday: Women - All Classes Men - Up to and including 82.5 Class Sunday: Men - 90kgs class and above The Running order will be the same on both days, will all classes Squatting first, then all classes Bench Press, then all classes Deadlift. This give competitors a rest between lifts and also keeps the interest in the competition! Weigh in on both days is 8.30am - 10am. Lifting to start at 10.30 Any further questions please email either myself or Paul Rees: paulrees@bournemouthbarbell.co.uk or myself info@bournemouthbarbell.co.uk The 90kg Class looks to be very competitive with 5 lifters capable of a 650+ unequipped total. 75kg Class also looks strong (even without including myself lol) Spectators welcome, cafe open from 7.30am for breakfast and refreshments throughout the day!

percy Member 384, 353 posts SQ 250, BP 162.5, DL 287.5 700.0 kgs @ 88kgs Eq	Kings Park Athletic Centre is almost ready for the weekends competition.Please use the car park next to the Athletics track entrance(its free).Breakfast will be available in the cafe(within the venue auditorium)from 7.30am. 78 lifters altogether now. Very full entry lists with guests from outside the division included.The ten ladies lifting include two experienced weightlifters (one has C&J of 90kg)powerlifting for the first time. Our own Louise Watton and Rosi Lima lifting in equipment.Steve Tyers going at 60kg.Paul Richards leading the 67.5kg entry and the younger MR MINTY favourite in a tight 75kg class.Alistair Cannings lifting equipped. James Leaver ,who looks every bit a 90kg lifter is entered in the VERY full 82.5kg class.. More about the second day tomorrow. Regards to all, Paul

Under this heading: Southern Counties 2011 Day 1 (Saturday Women and Men up to 82.5) Special mention must go out to Louise Watton, a female lifter who is leading on Wilks at the moment. She broke the 1000lb barrier in terms of total with 457.5kgs. 180kgs Squat, 95kgs Bench Press and a massive 182.5kg deadlift. That gives her a 493 Female Wilks points total.

Steve Tyers also lifted equipped going 200--132.5---225--457.5 total.in 60kg class James Leaver totalled 595 at 82.5 b/w unequipped senior.Many other first class performances particularly amongst the juniors.Check out the results on our web site bournemouthbarbell.co.uk . As always a pleasure to lift there and good group of lifters having fun. Plenty of us were not going full bore today (well I went for 1 pb attepmt!) with the Brits close but still some great lifting from various guys. Looking forward to moving across Bournmouth for the Brits! Big well done for Mr 'lazy bench only' Carl taking a British record wth 181kg! He did his best to miss it but managed to squeeze it out! More to come!
