Good shizz.

On the "dead stop" reps for MP I don't really see the point. Benches are paused as they need to be in a comp, MP is obv not a comp lift. I think pausing just makes it harder to use more weight, thus having a negative impact on the exercise and it's effectiveness. A Military Press is used to develop strong shoulders and triceps etc (or just a big press, whatever you're after), so using more weight (still strict) is a good thing.

It would be akin to a "dead hang" pull-up, a fair bit harder, but i'm not sure there is a point (although I can see why this may be applied before a paused MP would be utilised).

However... if you just enjoy doing it and start light and can make consistent and constant progress then by all means crack on, can't see there being much harm in, it's just not something i'd personally do/advise as I see no physiological benefit (or nessecity due to it not being a comp lift).

Makes sense, I guess it just feels like its harder (cause it is) with no physiological benefit. As per usual I shall heed your advice!
