Hey mate, my name is Paul Dudley Member 632, 3628 posts SQ 200, BP 155, DL 282.5637.5 kgs @ 77kgs UnEq | Different story for me, grip has never been an issue. I added static holds to help get my grip up to par (basically load a barbell to a "heavy" weight, lift it from the rack and hold it for time). I did that once a week and it seemed to help. Thanks, i was happy with it. No PL comps lined up, but I might compete in a BUCS event in november, not sure yet. Got an under 90kg strongman comp in Seeptember that i'm training for now, hope to pull a 230kg there. Paul | ||

Paul nice sounds good and how come its a under 90kg mate is there mo 75kg or 82.5kg class mate and i started training forearms every 4 days paul with reverse curls and finger curls that will help with in time ive got no comps after lancs and cheshire till december i think or then even next year so got a good 6 moth to just work on pure strength no daft diets | ||

If i'm a fairly solid 80kg (hopefully without too much extra body fat) i'll be pleased. Cheers again Mike ye thats a good idea just to see what u can lift and then should do a month of 8s then a month ov 5s then a month ov 3s till u get used to the weights and perfect your form rather then jumping in at the deep end thats whst i did and dont bother with over doing the cardio too much will kill ye gains tryed it my self that routine i put on ye forum should be perfect for u just do the 8s,5s then 3s routine on that should be a winner mate and trust me dont do daft diets i did it and got injured mate worse off then and ull pay for it 4 makeing bad desisions like i did just telling u cause wouldent want ye to make the same mistakes mate. | ||

Last night you said you were going to do a few light bench singles to practice technique, but you end up doing 100+ touch and go bench, then 40 minutes cardio, then squats to failure ffs! Maybe I'll never figure out why you repeatedly reject good advice from people who know what they're talking about. Is it arrogance, crass stupidity, or some powerlifting version of tourette's? Who knows... But if you're not going to pay any attention to anything I say, please don't ask for any more advice from me. It's actually quite insulting to be repeatedly asked, spend 15-30 minutes of my time trying to help, and then have the advice totally ignored, time and time again.
