I think jt means that its up for debate whether anyone competing from a different region than the qualifier they are doing would be eligable to qualify for esm.

I would agree with ben's view on this. although, personally, I would like to see the final results listed without the non-local competitors included. eg. if athlete X was northern and competed in the midlands (due to whatever reason) and were to win it, they WOULD qualify for esm but WOULDNT be declared 'midlands' strongest man. that honour would go to the highest placed midlander.

As appose to last year though it would be great to also be able to compare the guys that have travelled further with the best from the midlands, instead of two flights

Yeah I thought he meant that too mate, I was just saying I dont think I would be strong enough to qualify anyway.

Also would agree on second point too
