Wes
It was a great occasion, really enjoyed it and it was a good atmosphere. The young lad (17 ish) was really impressive to watch... forgot his name (sorry) but he went well, cracking pulling at the end for him too !

Mark was really impressive, not just the strength but his strict form on all of the lifts... good stuff indeed !!

Thats some serious weight to pull without hitching. So is he moving into PL or planning on doing both?

Don't think he's looking to pack the Strongman stuff in any time soon, I think it's a case of do them both for a spell and see what happens.

A super day's lifting, really enjoyed it, well done to all the lifters for a great day. Gutted for Paul bombing on bench but big kudos to him for carrying on and getting a deadlift pb, and well done to the other 4 of 'my' lads who all did themselves proud.

I was 96.9 kg, thats practically 90. Thanks moz, and thanks andy, you were a big help today with warm ups and straps and all the usual bits.

Thanks to NW (i.e Bryn and jim) nice friendly atmosphere and a nice turn out of spectators who were all very vocal in there support, it may be a small venue, but it was packed out.

Impressive bencher for sure, I couldn't believe he jumped the gun on his second bench after missing the referees command 1st attempt. Barrie Nelson would have given him a right old bollocking if he was still here.

congrats on running a great comp. Mr Evans

Great, well put together competition. Well done to everyone involved - the refs, loaders, scoreboard, ladies behind the desk - faultless.

Too many good lifters to go through them all but Jake, Tom, Joe lookng really strong, and Moz doing a big bench.

Two British junior records from Chris and Liam and Mr Felix's big pull right at the end - all bodes well for North West GBPF.

Ste Turner spoke to me but I'll need a few more years up here to even begin to guess at what he was talking about.

will he be able to claim the record? i think there is some rule about being on the OCT register to claim a british record not sure about how long though
whether it stands or not it was a fantastic pull

My understanding is that he's been a member of GBPF all year, so has been available for ooc testing, plus it's been known for some time that he was entering the NW in December.
