The website is now up for the East Midlands Bench Press 2010.

http://www.hamiltonsfitness.co.uk/EMBench2010.htm

You can download the entry form and post it in or enter on-line.

Entry forms should also be going out in the post to anyone that I have an address for (that's about 150 powerlifters)

Everyone is invited come and compete regardless of your division. It is being held under GBPF (was BWLA) rules, if you are not already a GBPF member you can download a GBPF membership form from the competition website.

You can also choose to lift equipped or unequipped, so an ideal first competition.

This competition will qualify you for the British Unequipped Bench Press in June 2010 or the British Bench Press Jan 2011

We will be live streaming the competition on the website.

If you have any questions you can post them here or email me on info@hamiltonsfitness.co.uk

This is usually a very well attended competition with a great atmosphere, so hopefully we'll all have a great time again this year.

Looking forward to seeing you there,

(apart from JT and JohnMarsden obviously.)

Because bench pressing was their sport and they wanted to see the British Championships.

The British Bench was primarily a fund raiser for the GBPF. We had to cover our costs and pretty much everything else went to the sport.

The hours that the club members put in were all given freely.

The spectator entry for the East Midlands will be £5 for the day. If that's too much then watch it for free on the internet (I pay the costs for that out of my pocket)

The national qualifying total at 100 is 135 so it's decent but not amazing.
