My back pumps like mad for a couple of days after deadlifts, it makes me walk like a spacker and after 20 minutes or so it gets proper painful.

My lower back tends to feel sore if i stand in one place for a long period of time such as a concert and yeah if i get dragged round the trafford centre shopping then it gives me s**t then too.

Funny that because all of the physios ive seen have had me walking on an incline for 20 minutes a day to help alleviate back pain.

Incline walking is nicer than walking which is nicer than standing, I've had this ever since the army (as far as I remember, never had to stand for hours on end before)

I find a bit of cross country walking good for my back. Standing around for long periods or very long walks, I find, irritate my back.

Was at a bit of a loss as to what to do tonight as i normally do pressing on a thursday but am giving my wrist a rest this week so decided to do a random BB style session.

DB Forward Raises
4x10 @ 40kg

DB Lateral Raises
4x10 @ 50kg

Pec Deck
4x10 @ 320kg

DB Rear Lateral Raises
4x10 @ 40kg

DB Hammer Curls
4x10 @ 45kg

Decline Crunches
4x12

As far as BB sessions go i got a bit of a pump on. If anything i now look like a white Ronnie Coleman.Wink

If the weights stated are for each dumbell then you must have suddenly put on 7 stone of solid muscle before you entered the gym! Confused

Edit - Just seen the 320kg pec dec.lol

Great session tonight - a change from the norm but i loved it.

Squats
3x95kg
2x115kg
4x145kg
4x145kg
4x145kg
4x145kg
3x145kg

I wasnt happy with the depth on a couple of my reps so did a final set of 3 to satisfy myself i hadnt cheated.

Box Jumps - Roughly 15" Platform
38 in 60 Seconds
60 Second Rest
34 in 60 Seconds
60 Second Rest
28 in 60 Seconds

Never done these before but i love em. Not the highest of platforms but i had to make so with what i had in the gym - certainly got the legs pumping after the squats.

HIIT Cross Trainer - 5 Minutes
30 Seconds - Flat Out
30 Seconds - Slow Pace

Had intended on doing this for 10 minutes but my fitness is pretty much non-existant so im plannin on adding 1 minute each week or more if i feel im capable until i can do 20 minutes then im going to switch to 60 seconds flat out and 60 seconds rest.

Finished off the gym session with 12 minutes in Tanerife across the road to warm me up then headed home.

Two Handed Kettlebell Swings
7 Sets x 25 Swings - 30 Seconds Rest

Every rep was powering the bell down except for maybe the last set when i just wanted to get finished.

Finshed - legs like jelly but feeling good.
