The competition is being held on Saturday 8th May 2010 at: Stanley Park, West Park Drive, Blackpool, FY3 9HU It will be an open weight class with 5 events of which I am still awaiting confirmation on a couple of things so are subject to change. Event 1 – Max Axle Deadlift 3 Attempts – Starting weight 250kg Straps & Suits Allowed 30 Time Limit Per Lift Event 2 – Log Clean & Press 125kg Log - Head to Head Max Reps in 90 Seconds Event 3 – Medley 350kg Yoke – 20m 140kg Farmers Walk – 20m 90 Second Time Limit - Head to Head Event 4 – Tyre Flip Max flips of 400kg tyre in 90 seconds Event 5 – Stones Stones for max reps in 90 seconds Choice of either 120kg or 160kg Stone over 55" Yoke Head to Head Entry fee will be £15 which will include a competition t-shirt and entry bag. There will be 15 competitors – after that people will be placed on a reserve list. Top 3 will receive a trophy and prizes which are TBC. Competition sponsors so far include: Atlas Stones Strength Shop Olympic Sports Gym Unit Supplements Enterprise Rent A Car We also have Sugdens resident MC Ben France who will be commentating on the day along with Ste Baker who has kindly agreed to do the scoring/ placing so make sure you make any bribes payable to either of them. Gaz B has also agreed to come along and do the photography on the day providing it doesn’t clash with any of his comps.
