The Sunday I could make but the Saturday I can't, much as I would love to but real life sadly intrudes.
The workshop is up and running and I have promoted myself to Service Receptionist until such a time as I can afford a petite blonde with a tiny waist, nice bum and firm pouting breasts to do the job for me...or some semi retired fat old bird who smells of Detol but may well be bit cheaper.
I will record myself shouting "fat bas***d" and you can play it as Pete lifts.

Daniel, I have recieved news from our S.E office.

When my REPS membership runs out i have been informed i can become part of the key carrying elite at adders, for a much , much cheaper price (infact i cannot afford reps rices ,they went up during your hiatus) (80 for 3 months , 150 for 6) You sir, are welcome to join me for the paltry sum of 2 per sesh.

i intend to qualify for the british next year and need to take my training to the next level-a-roony

Squats with the Boar.
100kgx5, 140kgx5, 180kgx5, 200kgx1 - I planned to do 3 but as soon as I unracked it I knew it wasnt going to happen. 140kgx5.
I'm so far off the pace with my Squats just now, its really frustrating but I'm totally pre-occupied with work and I cant focus on anything else. In the middle of the Squats all I could think about was getting my broadband working so I could update my website. Very annoying. Hopefully things will settle down soon and I can get my head into my training again.
I watched the Boar grind out 200kgx5 at good depth and it was most impressive, he definitely has 235-240kg in him, which must be 260kg with a suit.
Next session Monday, bench.

Training at Adlington would be marvellous JW, but I can't make afternoon sessions very often. I barely made the 7.30 session tonight and hadn't time to pop home for tea !
I think my Reps membership runs till August, but I will try and make Adlington as time permits.

Ok, so I'm going with higher than normal rep ranges just now to gently break back into the swing.

Bench, 100kg, 8,8,8,8
Curl, 50kg, 8,8,8,8

The higher reps felt quite amazing. I'm pumped up to bursting and it feels amazing, I can't move properly and typing is a challenge and yet it feels really good !
I could get used to this Happy

P.S. I'm training at home just now, for the first time in months.
70kgx10, 120kgx8, 170kgx5 and my left hand slipped off.
This was supposed to be a warm up !
170kgx4 and my left hand slipped off again.
I was using a mixed grip but didn't have any chalk. I then realised my 7 foot "beefy bar" is thicker than an Oly bar, the knurling is crap and I just couldn't hold it. The weight was easy, it was flying up, I just couldn't keep hold of it to make more than 4 reps. From here on every set ended with the bar on my finger tips.
I did another 3 sets of 4 at 170kg and called it a day, in total disgust, the left hand slipping every time.
Fat Boy pull ups, 4x8.
I'm going to hit the punch bag for a while because I'm really peed off.
Next time I'll try my short bar and if thats no better I'll deadlift at Reps.

Overhead Press, target 4x8.
75kg, 8,8,6,5 the weight maybe a little optimistic for the reps but I'll get it next time.
Running, 2.6 miles ( 2 laps of the lake ).
Weight, 18 stone 9 pounds, 118.5 kg.

Time to eat.
Next session Squats for 4x8.

Haven't updated the journal for a while but I've now ( finally ) got Broadband in my office so it will get updated regularly again. I'm very busy at work, things are going well but I'm putting the hours in so I'm doing very abbreviated routines just now.

Tuesday was Squats, 170kg, 5,5,5,5
Wednesday was Bench, 120kg, 8,8,6,3
And Curls, 45kg, 8,8,8

Tonight is rest day because I open till 8pm on Thursdays and get home around 9.
Tommorow is Deads.

Deadlifts, short bar. Grip much better, the bar is thinner and the knurling is much more coarse, so much so that it hurt my hands but I'll get used to it.
50kgx8, 100kgx8, 140kgx6, 160kgx5, 180kgx3, 200kgx1, 200kgx1, 200kgx1, 180kgx3, 140kgx6. Wanted to get 3 triples with 200kg but didnt have the steam tonight. I'm feeling a bit tired and not totally up for it just now, but I'm in decent shape and I don't want to slip back too much so I'm trying to push myself to train even though I am lacking motivation just now.
P.S. I didn't count the weight of the bar at all, but its 10kg or less.
Fat Boy Pull Ups, 3x8.
Ab work.
Tommorow is overhead press.
Night night sweet dreams.
