I believe they redid the stitching so its much stronger now, you should be alright!

My mate got one after they re- did the stitching and he burst it along several of the seams just bending down to reach the bar.

To be fair though I've had one of the original ones for more than a year and it's still in good nick. My inzer fusion is a better suit though.

Interesting. You ever tried a deadlift suit or a specific sumo suit?
And anyone any idea what the best multiply would be for Sumo?

WS guys pull sumo in canvas

Yeah I've seen that. Expensive suits though! Would be worth it to use for both lifts...

Having just recently got a canvas suit I don't know why they pull in canvas its hard enough to squat in it let alone pull!

I've used an inzer hardcore for deadlifting, worked quite well

For last couple years I've pulled in a titan centurions, get 30kg plus out of it

Haven't used a velocity but if I saw one in my size going cheap I'd def try it

Personally I wouldn't touch single ply metal gear, seems to be the most likely suits to tear

Metals multiply stuff is good though

I've got a double ply metal pro squatter I'm gonna use for my speed pulls tonight

I'll let you know how I find it for sumo

Had METAL v type squatter for almost 3 years and a couple of king pro deadlifters and no chance of them ripping. Good stuff IMO!

Metals sizing just doesnt work for me (either too loose at the hips or I cant get it on passed my quads). I might get a custom sized metal jack one day, for now the titan centurion is great and fits like a glove.

I did try an Inzer max DL, hated it. Felt too thin. I'd go with metal's wide stance squat suits, or the inzer t-rex (adjustable straps too). T-rex is multiply, the squat suit I have is two plies laminated together (so not ipf legal)
