So his nonsensical foodstuff preferences almost have to be forgiven!

Now that one hurt.

That took me back to my schooldays and I did not have a single happy moment at school, my teachers only ever told me - a, I was thick, b, I was worthless and c, I would never amount to anything.

I am still unclear as to why a passion for thin gravy and custard and a strong dislike for cheese should be described as nonsensical, but it is a painful reminder that my teachers were correct. That my thoughts and opinions really are worthless

I know you probably did not mean to Mr. Macca but that really was one sleeping dog that I dearly wish you had let lie.

That hurt, and probably will for some time

Now, now Mr Pete, you know full well that there was no ill will in my comments and certainly no intention for triggering bad childhood memories!

I shall scald you now for ever thinking, even for a second, contrariwise!

You silly Oaf!

That teacher was afraid of his own fate. Everything turns to nothing. He was much older and wanted you to feel his pain of demise

And Pete, it was one particularly peculiar one that capped your recall?

I sincerely hope you mean scold rather than scald, even the teachers didn't do that. I am fairly certain that there is no ill will in many rebukes that get said to me, but I cannot help but notice that people do seem to treat many trivial matters as being wrong, it isn't just a preference, it isn't just a difference between them and me, it's wrong and it's always me being wrong. And wrong because I am thick. I freely admit that I am very sensitive to this nonsense and that it is a very raw nerve. But I really don't feel that I am wrong to dislike cheese even though about 95 percent of those who comment on my dislike of it do say I am.

It was the reference to being nonsensical. I must try to grow thicker skin or at least realize that the people on here are not teachers.

It akin to having a bad dream and you remember that all is well when you realize it was only a dream. The realization that it was Macca and not a teacher made it ok, but just for a moment I was fooled

Very warm today, checked the tyre pressures, got the car cleaned and went to Adders, walked to the Spinners for a very fine dinner and then home, filling up on route.

66mpg for the week and 31 degrees C or 88 in old money, the car seems to like warm weather much more than I do

I don’t know how it is over your way but I would say pressure in a tire is a not held of importance as it should. Especially a motorcycle. New tires good tires are also a great factor. I used to work fixin cars in a full service station. I would use the good tread when the people bought new ones and I knew I got gift to get me to and fro. The tre machine I could operate like a machine.

I completely agree, I check mine every week, usually on a Sunday and that, by many, is considered obsessive. It isn't of course, all the automobile associations plus the manufacturers plus and road safety organisations recommend checks at least fortnightly but I would say that a good ninety percent of drivers don't bother.
