Thought it was about time to start a log on here, especially since I'm not able to train at Adlington at the minute.

Currently training in Liverpool at the Training Station - great gym (obviously not Adders standard, but then what is?), and convinient for me at the moment.

The 8 sets of 3 reps was pretty tough, and not made any easier by working in with my training partner who's lifting quite different ammounts to me - loading was draining.

Stiff leg deadlifts

I'm quite new to these so I'm keeping them faily light to begin with - I'm writing this post 2 days after the workout and I can definitely feel them now!

Snatch pulls

Hey man, that's my home gym too, let me know what times you're training at and I'll say hello.

I'm only in there Tuesday/Thursday at the moment though due to rowing training.

Well in Sam. By the way, there is a disappointing lack of bodybuilding in this journal so far. Just remember: bench and curls every session is the way to succeed!

Pretty happy with the 110Kg single, it's equal to my comp PB (although the one today wasn't paused). Felt good though, might go for a max next week.

The 175 double was tough but not horrendous, so I've got confidence for my 185 double next week!

Pretty tough session - special mention must go to my training partner Phil who has not long been deadlifting and managed to grind out an inspirational 100K for 5 for his last set, fantastic strength of character!

I would have loved to have done it Joni, I really like the idea of powerlifting as a team sport (I've still got some hopes for an Adlington vs Army showdown too!).

Unfortunately I'm on an attachment in Brunei between 27 JUL 08 and 10 AUG 08 so I can't make it.
