I have just come off a summer of squatting everyday im back at uni now so have had to change up my training somewhat. My goal is to hit a 700kg total at 100kg bodyweight in the year that im 21 im 19 now and will be 20 on the 25th of april.

At the moment training is a little bit here there and everywhere just trying to fit in sessions as and when i can in between my hetic workload & lifestyle. I will start to get some real structure to my training as soon as i can as my next comp is on dec 5th 2010.

Current bodyweight
98kg

Pb's before starting squatting everyday in the summer
High bar beltless squat 190kg
High bar beltless squat paused 153kg
Paused Bench press 140kg
Low bar squat 200kgx5,4

Pbs After squatting everyday for just over 2 months in the summer
Highbar beltless squat 220kg
Highbar belted squat 227.5kg
Highbar beltless paused squat 200kg
Highbar belted paused squat 207.5kg
Low bar belted competition squat 240kg
Paused bench press 145kg

The gains i have made have been unreal!!! Thank you john broz... BROZ KNOWS!!!

Thanks mate it was the first heavy competition squat i went for in about 4 months lol with more practice if the elbows and biceps can heal u maybe a little more is to come.

I was training in preperation to a comp on the 5th of dec. I have had to pull out and write this year off.

I have torn my bicep tenon (Grade 2 tear) have no range of motion or mobility in my right arm. I cant even hold up a plate of food. Lots of swelling and pain Unhappy

Im still going to cut to 90kg as that was a goal that i had and for my own satisfaction still want to hit that. I should be happy with all the progress i have made this year i have gone from unequipped lifts:

April 2010- Squat-202.5kg
Bench-125kg
Dead-245kg
Total-572kg (80kg bodyweight, 391 wilks)

October 2010- Squat-240kg
Bench-150kg
Dead-260kg
Total-650kg (98kg bodyweight, 398 wilks)

I have put alot of quailty mass on aswell which in itself is good progress.
With the new weightclasses i will more than likely lift in the 93kg class bext year.

Looking at things as a whole i have been lifting for 4 years now (1st comp at the age of 16) and never had an injury this is my first serious one. Im not going to let it phase me its all a learning process its what i do when i come back from it that counts. Injuries are a part of every sport its inevitable i think im just nieve thinking that it would never happen to me as im not lifting big enough weights. My strength levels have shot through the roof so much this year as has my bodyweight i think my muscles have adapted to my training but my joints, ligaments, tendons havent in such sort time which is part of the reason im injured.

Just gota heal up now and build towards 2011!!! All in all putting this recent injury aside the summer of 2010 was "The Summer Of Strength Gains" for me. A very good year lifting wise.

Now im the second year at university so whilist im not training i can get my head in the books and do some work.
