Second ever attempt at sumo deads... didn't quite lock out 235kg.

Squats felt good. Depth was great. Little slow coming back up but seeing as I only do box squats, I'm happy with my progress on it. Old free squat form was shockingly bad.

nice work, your sumo pulls were pretty nice.

it looked to me like your friend was conventional pulling with a wide stance lol

I agree, far too much back involved. Kept telling him to put his hands between his legs more and imagine that he was squatting almost but he did whatever felt comfy for him.

Thanks. I really appreciate that. I'll post up my 110kg efforts from 2011 at some point for a laugh because my form was utter dogs**t... like an over-exaggerated good morning. Was horrendous.

Cheers. It was in no way a completed lift but the first time I tried that weight, literally 40 second before, I didn't even move the bar lol.

Good work mate. My sumo deads are similar in form to yours. Apparently you really have to sit down into it and squeeze the bar from the floor. I tried doing that and couldn't shift 190 but have done more your way!

Took me a while to nail the form. It's like a conventional pull really, we all have a slightly different way of doing it depending on our leverages. It still looks like a sumo lift though lol.

I'll keep working on it Happy
