Thank you friend Boarski, but as Small will confirm, I suck at 1RMs so my progress in reps doesn't mean much. Also, I shall apply severe beatings to the brother in your name.

Tannhauser: beard to you as well.

28th of April

Strong stuff!

Thanks youngy, though the lifts need major work! I walk around the neighbourhood mostly, down the road, up the hill, through the park, across the woods. I hesitate to call it c*rdio because I'm fully aware that's a dirty word. Happy

An hour's walk this morning (yes the full 60 minutes) and a half-hour walk sometime in the afternoon: weather was lovely so it would've been rude not to.

Off for an early night, in preparation for a week of Small-inflicted torture.

57(!) minutes walk this morning, then 12 minutes continous (no breaks) sled pull later in the day - previous session was 10 minutes with a break or two.

Thanks Paul, yeah right after the set I phoned the Small for immediate counselling. He was surprisingly supportive, usually he is just abusive.

I was waiting for you to comment on the hammer curls.

I see.

24th of April
=============
floor deadlift
warmups
140 x 2
160 x 1
170 x 1
190 x 9 (on the 10th rep I followed the family tradition of being unable to lock the bar out, didn't have the energy to try and hitch it)

barbell shrugs
4 x 10 with 140

hammer curls
20's x 8

dumbbell static holds
3 x failure with 50's

and a 42 minute walk this morning, barely two hours before training. I am certain this impacted my CNS and stopped me from getting that 10th rep.

Mick, here's a video with Matt Kroczaleski talking about how the rows helped his deadlift lockout (with Small's fashion icon and role model Jim Wendler confirming the effectiveness of these as well). At the end of the interview there's a video of Matt doing 100kg db rows for 25 reps. Happy

A strong bull in here! Speaking of vegetarian, I've just thought of something, bulls (and gorillas) are as strong as bulls (and gorillas) and they only eat green stuff. Hmmmmmmm.

What's this? You set a REP target? You didn't PUSH YOURSELF? Is this the bilge you're spouting?

Let's see how this pressing twice a week lark works. All the best people seem to do it!
