A local gym is doing a training seminar with Dan John (www.danjohn.net).

Is saucy enough at €275. His site is great. Anyone done training with him and was it life changingly good?

The government here in Ireland are talking about putting the calories in alcohol on the label.
Was a bit shocked to hear one small glass of white wine is equal to an iced donut. Beer worse than chips.
The interview said alcohol is becoming a large contributer to obesity.
I've Been trying to cut down on boozing outside of gigs and special occasions. Messes my training up.
So would calories on your pint glass put you off that extra pint and do many obstain to train harder?

Sounds like the strength shop bas***d bar with better steel.

I've a cheap 31mm bar. Its plenty stiff for squats and bench. I want a new bar for deads and cleans because the above isn't straight. What would be a good bar for that? Tpb feels fairly rough to clean.

So does that mean tpb isn't the best bar for DL? Everywhere I read about DL they talk about wanting whip to help with lift.

Actually I have lifted with original capps tpb. It is great for bench and squats. I didn't think it had any whip compared to basic Strengthshop Oly bushing bar when deadlifting. At the risk of being labelled a heritic am I right or just not lifting enough weight?-)

Does the wolverhampton bar whip for deadlifts? If Texas bar is 10/10 for knurling what would Wolver bar be? Tks

would you look at Westside Method http://www.sugdenbarbell.co.uk/routines/The-Standard-Westside-...

2 days are max effort 3sets x 5reps for increasing press, squat and deadlift.
2 days are volume for increasing muscle mass and technique using sets of 10reps.

The idea is the blood flow and exercise from the volume days helps natural lifters recover from the heavy days. They also add muscle mass and mass helps increase PBs.

Would you be tempted by this £220 http://www.savagestrength.co.uk/cfit-mens-olympic-bar.html. See the PSI rating. Also has duel knurling but no centre unfortunately.

Strength Shop bas***d Bar is 300 with the centre knurling.
