Constructive criticism is useful, calling him a bubblehead is not.

If I wrote '' You're a nutter and would do the WSM regardless'', would there have been such an outcry? It was all meant in a similar way. My sincere apologies for any feelings hurt by the bubblehead remark, It was never my intention.

If Andy had torn his bicep 12 weeks before a World championships do you not think he would be a bit lacking in confidence to lift again? Most people would write WSM off for a year. I do this sport cause I love it and being at WSM means everything to me so have had to push things to make it so I can be there again this year.

Fair play to you, but the way I see it, You're a bubblehead and would do the WSM regardless. The bicep will let you know if it can cope, be it in the gym or at the WSM. pulling 410 beforehand is no way aiding your recovery for the worlds. Hope it works out for you though.

If I had been sensible with my training since my injury I wouldn't be going to wsm in a few weeks, sometimes you have to push things a bit! Also it is giving me confidence lifting weights like that and knowing my arm can cope with it!

For a lifter of your experience and ability, you sound like an insecure child.. Andy Bolton doesn't pull 460 in the gym for confidence before going into a meet.

looking at what you said i can see where your coming from, but do you also not think that it should up to the lifter to see how things feel as they train too??

looking at what you said i can see where your coming from, but do you also not think that it should up to the poster to refrain from ass licking and offer a different opinion.

seems like a silly thing to be doing imo. Is there really a need for hitched up max singles at this stage.

Well I use them, I sit and go. They have help improved my form and I like that you don't have to use a crazy weight to get a workout done with them.

came in here to say this.

I got a 200kg squat off a 140 5x5, so no point in guessing.

just get yourself a centurion and get on with it.

double ply may proved too much of a dive for a first timer anyway.
