Yeah, and it's so alien to the real life friendliness of the strength scene.

Ironmind is where I got all my strongman dvd's from. Magnus Samuellsons 'Worlds Strongest Arms', Svend Karlsens 'Viking Power' and a Super Series compilation from back a few years. I remember having to pay quite a bit on import tax though. Unhappy

I'm trying! It's coming along nicely though. A lot nicer than he even realises himself, but he's just going to hit PB after PB for the next few weeks in briefs. Then there's wraps to add, and swap the briefs for a full suit. I've got high hopes!

Oh please don't! Marks squats are pure and unsullied! Please don't make him squat with his legs 3 miles apart whilst wrapped in chainmail! Unhappy Wink

Lol, that IS the answer. Benching once a week maintains what you've got, benching 2-3 times improves.

f**k!

Now I'm going to have to schedule benching after legs every thurs! Unhappy

Something new I tried yesterday when I was doing legs and there was a couple of guys doing what I can only describe as 'dead bench press' in the squat rack (after I'd finished my squatting). They had a bench in there under the barbell which was resting on the rack. From the benching position they simply lifted stright up for each rep from the bottomed out position, then lowered slowly back to the rack and counted 3 seconds before repeating. They invited me to join in inbetween my leg extensions/calf raises which I duly accepted. After a few sets building up I managed 8 x 120kg but then failed (narrowly) with 1 x 140kg (I'm blaming bad form/exhaustion due to returning to the calf raises inbetween sets). I quite enjoyed it though. They reckon it's pretty good for plateau breaking and can boost benching. They say they got this technique from Catts gym. I will see what my bench is like on Mon.

Never drink water on its own. Drink loads of tea and coffee though.

What exactly is the definition of 'natural' anyway? Is it simply someone who does not have sauce in their system at the time of the comp? Or is it someone who has never touched them in their lives?

That's nothing. I was trapped at my gym carpark earlier because my c**ting car had decided that there was a f**k-up with the immobiliser. It randomly decided to work just as the RAC man was pulling onto the carpark.

f**king. c**ting. f**k.
