A swift two. I could only see two realistic options after my standard opener and I struck lucky. It’s a weird one though because the more fiendish fours earlier in the week were much more satisfying.

Used the old openers on a whim and was fairly certain that the "Y" of the third factfinder would be the last letter, I now have the last three in order. I thought of many words that were eliminated by one of the many "X"s of the first three. The tea cup was almost empty before I stumbled on a viable option, and it worked.

My 750th wordle, 96% success rate, streak now 87

Fine work indeed and converting to a century creeps closer. The sphincter can unclench as you are now in uncharted waters.

Much like yesterday, for an uncomplicated three.

Considering I had so much to go on I struggled today, maybe I was feeling the pressure. Should have fun tomorrow then.

C.M Burns approves of this. Nicely done Pete.

A 50/50 three.

Usual openers as ever.

A three today after a string of quite taxing and tactical fours which needed some work to successfully narrow down.

A rapid two, which was very enjoyable.

An horrifically played six.

Three for me. Usual openers and a slightly speculative third, but not a gamble in terms of potential overall failure.

A slightly laborious yet very satisfying four. The third was tactical and very pleasing as it took a while to come up with it.

The opener yielded my least favourite outcome when the letters fall in the manner that they did.

Thank you kind sir, that’s a relief. The demise into madness is staved off for one more day.

A virtually instant two. Usual opener and it fell straight into my lap.

I believe that he has. I have a memory of seeing footage many years ago, although I may have finally lost the plot completely.

With two guesses remaining, there appeared to be only two possible answers to choose from. The quandary here was whether to go for a tactical 5th to establish for sure which one it was or rule them both out and point me to look for an alternative that I hadn't thought of.

In the end I opted to be brave and go for one of the two, which proved incorrect. This meant it had to be the other option for guess six, but there was still a little trepidation on pressing enter.. thankfully I received a 'Phew'

When that scenario faces me, I always want to be brave, but I err on the side of caution (or cowardice) as I’m convinced a third option, of dubious origin, will become a possibility.
