Saturdays Squad Session:
Had someone watch me have a wee which was nice because usually I have to do it on my own.
Then I did some training mainly to keep TC happy.

Today!
Was a bit annoyed with my woeful deadlifting yesterday, so I stuck an older deadlift suit on to make it easier to get to the bar. I went 260,290,300,310 the 310 wasn't great and my grip was tired but happy to finish the week with a decent deadlift

Equipped Squats
x1 @ 330 (This was deeper than the other day and fairly easy, need to film next time to be sure)
350F Felt like I was being sqaushed on the descent so I stood up with it, I was a good 4-6" from parallel
(As I was unwrapping my knee wraps someone kindly added up the weight on the bar for me, it was 360! My own fault I had a load of metal plates and I can't count!)
Deadlift Equipped
x1 @ 290,310F (Seem to have lost the groove with this when the strap are up, its flying up to my knee then stopping dead, will have to look at the video

I'll take that on board cheers mate. Gonna try and squat 350 tomorrow in the new kicks Tom, so theres a good chance I will not survive, hope the Euros, British and Worlds go well for you. I will be watching from Valhalla!

Cheers Macca, Don't panic I don't think I'll be repping out 250 with just a belt any time soon!
I was thinking the same thing myself about the shoes after watching the video, may go for some white leather converse allstars! And a bandana?! Still got plenty of time to adjust, the big comp is in May. That would give me maybe 16 heavy sessions in them before the comp, do you think thats enough?

Cheers mate, not in your league though, actually trying to emulate your style more, its taking a while to get comfortable enough to descend faster though, just trying to keep control on the descent. Hopefully it will come.

Just a couple of lifts form the other day, bench lockout @ 290 in the shirt, and a high squat with 340kg from monday.

Equipped Squats x 1 @ 290, 310, 330, 340 (these were all high, by 1-2 inches but I think I can squeeze the last few out, have a vid of the 340 will try and put it up tomorrow)
Equipped bench x 1 @ 240 (inch from chest) 260F (Hit chest but couldn't lock it out) 267.5F (didn't even bother trying to get it to touch was really flat)

Equipped partial bench x 1 @ 240,260,275,290
Green band squats 240 (needed a spot, completely messed the rep up, and felt pretty sluggish warming up)
Speed squats 5x1 @ 170
Reverse band deadlift x 1 @ 300,325f again felt a bit slow warming up, think I've tried to push the extra lower body stuff too much and it's affecting my heavy work. Will sort this on the next wave
