I use straps every now and then when my hands are a bit torn up from farmers and that never had a problem holding a deadlift

So I havent really been keeping this journal upto date recently, been very busy with personal training so very little time. Anyways I try and bring it a little upto date.

So I mention the interesting PBs that I had a legs day, got some standard squats for me

210kg x 3
180kg x 10

then did a SLD was messing about a little decided to go for 1rep max
got
220kg x 1
230kg x 1
240kg x 1
250kg x 1 had to hitch a little at the top

found this very interesting as it was 10kg of my deadlift pb, that annoyed me so i rested for a day or 2 and then set out deadlifting

started with some 5 rep stuff
200kg x 5
220kg x 5
then went 1 rep
240kg x 1
260kg x 1 felt easy so I went up
270kg x 1 tough but went up
280kg x 1, ugliest deadlift every but i hitched that f**ker up

Other than that nothing very interesting to note, I did get a 150kg power jerk and 83kg 1 hand db press and now im just trying to lose weight for severn valley!!!!

videos will come soon

I am indeed got a 135kg log today aswell but my log is a little narrower so you cant really clean it and also a little easier to press, looking forward to the comp

I was looking back at the video in slow mo and did notice how i bend my arms quite early, as for all the other stuff thats alot to remember and try to recreate, any good ways of breaking it down ive tried hang cleans and stuff to no real noticeable benifit.

Chase Champions Write up

Went into the comp thinking that alrite Ill just hit some pbs have a good day and try and place somewere in the middle

First event overhead medley
100kg axle easy rep for me
65kg db again pretty easy, tried to rush the first rep messed it up set it properly and pushed it up
60kg barrel again an easy lift
120kg log very much harder, the biggest log I have ever lifted was 110kg so I just decided to give it a bash, cleaned it up and got a great press rep done, very happy with that
95kg rock, this thing was a b**ch to lift, anyway I cleaned it pressed just missed lockout annoying!

1st in this event

250kg 18inch deadlift
I was looking for 5 reps going in managed to grind out 7 very happy came 3rd in this

Truck pull
From what I have found pulling event seem to be quite strong for me I was 3rd last to go, I beat the fastest time by 3 seconds, then waited patiently for ash to go somehow managed to squeeze another win past him happy with that

1st in this

At this point im thinking I could actually win this so decided to go all out

150kg duck walk and 400kg tire flip x 3

duck walk felt easy breezed through it then the tire was up I had never flipped a tire before so I wasnt looking forward to this, anyway switched myself on and managed to brute 1 flip out of it enough for 2nd good enough for me

At this point I was sitting in 1st by 1 Point Ash was 2nd Stones left so had the good luck catch with ash and off I went. The stones were more reps over a yoke you could choose a 125kg stone for 5 points or 110kg stone for 2 points, the most before me was 15

So off I went got the 125kg over 5 times then finished off with the 110kg for 1, I thought this was enough, I was wrong ash came in and got a great result with 32, looked like he still had more in the tank.

Great comp overall so happy with 2nd although I would of liked 1st, sounds better on facebook. Great comp by ash and the other lads, and looking forward to competing in severn valley, wildcard here i come
