Not in Loz's top 10 uk strongmen Member 144, 4421 posts SQ 320, BP 165, DL 350835.0 kgs @ 123kgs Eq | If I had to pick one single suit I think I'd go with a Hardcore, as it would be good for squat and car dead with side handles which is more of a squatting movement, but then I don't know how it would fare with convo deads. Fusion is a great deadlift suit, but never tried to squat in it. Prob I have with my Metal suit is that it's so hard to hit depth in; if I put the belt ontop of the suit with the straps down I can't hit depth with 250kg. Good point is that the past few weeks when I've been using it straps down and belt under it has been great, although I can't squat down fast I really need to sort of sit back and feel it so to speak. I think if I was to qualify for BSM and have squat in my group I'd have to invest in another squat suit such as the Inzer Hardcore or TRX as not getting depth with the opening weight cause of the Metal suit would kill me!!!

Mighty young Joe Member 675, 2271 posts SQ 272.5, BP 180, DL 275727.5 kgs @ 114.8kgs UnEq | i'd go with a titan superior, its a good beginning powerlifting suit and i think that'll be an advantage in strongman as you have to make depth with varying weights. a superior lets you get depth but lots of bounce with it.

When I was looking into suits I looked at what the top guys were using; Mariusz was using a Hardcore for everything for example. One of the things I didn't like with the Titan was the thin-ness of the straps, Inzer and Metal suits have big thick chunky which I leaned toward more. Also, one of the guys at the gym told me that Titan suits were atleast very hard to get fitted right. I've only ever used Inzer and Metal, but from the 5 suits I've used (Inzer Z-Suit, Max DL, Hardcore, Fusion and Metal Viking Squatter) I say the best for both is the Hardcore, best for just squat it Metal Viking and the Fusion is my choice for deadlift. Andy Cairney who I train with doesn't like his Metal Viking Deadlifter, he finds it doesn't give as much pop off the floor as his Max DL did and is looking to get a Max DL after the New Year.

Member 9, 18279 posts SQ 255, BP 167.5, DL 330752.5 kgs @ 103kgs Eq | As far as I'm aware the centurian isn't a basic suit, it's titans top of the line single ply. I found it gave me around 20kg on the deadlift with great pop off the floor. It gave far more than that on the squat. Yes it is difficult to breathe in if you have it tight enough but you'll probably find all suits will be I'd fitted right. IMO it is far superior to the hardcore as the material is far too stretchy on the hardcore. Yes it may be more difficult to get the correct fit in the Titan as the material has less 'give' in it. It only costs a few quid to get adjusted at an alterations place. My Titan suit was adjusted probably 6 times before I was properly happy with it.
