alright fellas.
over the next coming months, my goal is too increase my gym lifts, while increase my bodyweight for strongman. I decided a couple of months ago i would like to do strongman, so i got in touch with dale norris, and have been training under his wing since. I will post some of my latest sessions too get an idea of where i am at, and my current bodyweight.

Bodyweight - 80-82kgs.
Current lifts.
Bench Press 80-85k.
Overhead press strict. 70kilosx2
Squat - 100k for 1 rep (did this about 4 weeks ago)
Deadlift - 150, Got this comfortably last friday.

Latest session. (event training)

this log actually felt harder then the ifsa one i tried a few weeks ago, no
idea why

grip didnt go, my back did, as i get stronger, il be going further with these.

Medley.
90k 25 m.
100k sled drag 25m.
completed in 57 seconds.
i was very fast carrying the stone, but weak as piss with the sled!.

Forgot too add, i think i wil be entering cully novice comp this year, and severn valleys novice if they are definetly being run!

Well, theres the start, and too give everyone an idea where i am currently at.
Lets get this show, on the road!!

hey f**k me, your event strength is MILES ahead of your gym lifts - shows that you probably are one stubborn fighter, just the right kind of material to sugden barbell forum!

...or thinking of it other way around, maybe my event strength is miles behind Grin

Anyway, that yoke is a great one, and farmers - thats awesome!

thanks for the kind words johnny!. I have no idea why my strength in the events is
way ahead of my gym lifts, i have always been alright at moving weights if that makes sense, walking with weight etc etc. My static lifting isnt that great, but dynamic events i seem too be pretty decent at. i also read you are taking part in a strongman comp soon, good luck with it mate, one thing that you said which is very relevant too strongman training i seem too notice, is just having brutal determination too keep going even when you want too just packup and quit, this does seem essential (especially with the damn medleys).

Nah mate, Ryan was banned from mt a couple of months ago. He's now haunting fortified iron last time i checkedWink. My names jonathan/mishima lol, i'm still on mt due to imobilism and came to sugden for fun and support. Will follow your progress too, cant wait for vidz as well.

the vids unfortunately arent of strongman, they are vids more aless from when i started. On the other hand, Dan (wogihao) does have videos and pictures from this weekend, where he stayed down and came up too rhondda too meet dale and the boys for a session, which was a very good one! i think he might be getting some of the vids and pics on here soon!

Todays session.

Bodybuilder Session.
i had too do this, i attempted squatting, 60k really hurt my upper back, i fought thru it and went too 90x2, as it was 5x2 rep set scheme today, but my back pain was
pretty extreme again, i left it there and went for reps on different
excercises.

Squat.
60x4
80x2
90x2 (pain way too much), i felly tried too fight thru it, but as
soon as i got the bar on my back on second set, it was hurting
worse than ever.

Hamstring curls.
4x10 @ number 5 on stack.

quadricep curls.
3x8 @ number 5 on stack.

Rack pull. 1inch above knee.
60x4
80x2
100x3
140x2
160x2
180x1 Very easy compared too before.
Left it there, my upper back started hurting badly again so i left it.
This wasnt as bad as the squatting, but i had too stop
at a certain limit where agian, it was way too much.

Calfs.
1x8 @ number 10onstack.
1x8 bodyweight.

Repeated twice.

Overview.
I know it was a bodybuilding session, but i thouight id be better
working it hard on the reps than doing f**kall. I was tempted
too do lunges, but i dont think il drop too Martins level, haha.
