It's always good to juggle things up a bit, stops me getting into a rut, so overhead singles were great! Bit disappointed I didn't get the final yoke weight because I'm sure I've done it before but it was a much lower height than usual. Will definitely swing around when I'm in the area in July.

It's my hometown but I live in London these days and won't have the time to go back again until July. Hopefully I'll see you then.

sumo ?? no ! no ! Member 1399, 557 posts | Post Edited: 25.01.2011 @ 18:02 PM by ranathari Had a s**t session today, missed DB shoulder presses I've easily made before. I also seem to have re-injured my left wrist again: a year ago I missed the rack on one side when re-racking the bar after a squat. My left hand was trapped and massively hyperextended, think I tore a ligament or something - couldn't even grip an unloaded barbell for weeks afterward. It's the same kind of unpleasant pain and grip weakness now so I think I might see my GP and get a physio referral.25/01/11 Incline bench press 3x5x72.5kg Push-ups 3x8xBW+10kg, 1x6xBW+10kg DB shoulder press 1x8x18.5kg, 1x6x18.5kg, 1x4x18.5kg Was supposed to do some tricep isolation work here, gave up instead.

sumo ?? no ! no ! Member 1399, 557 posts | Thanks for the comments, guys, it seems to be getting better on its own with a little gentle rehab so I'm holding off on getting a referral to the physio. Had a busy week at the hospital so put off training until this weekend instead. 29/01/11 Zercher squat from pins 2x5x110kg Romanian deadlifts 3x10x100kg Bent-over rows 4x6x75kg Reverse curls 3x10x20kg Used straps for the RDLs and rows to give my wrist a break. Will be doing a CGBP session tomorrow I think.

sumo ?? no ! no ! Member 1399, 557 posts | 30/01/11 CGBP 3x3x95kg Wide dips 4x8xBW Seated OHP 3x8x55kg DB skullcrushers 3x10x7.5kg Really happy with this morning's session. I've got two more weeks left in this cycle before I deload and rotate lifts so I'll go 97.5kg next time and then 100kg in the last week for CGBP, which will give me a new 3RM that's higher than my regular grip bench 1RM! Seated OHP was hard as balls because my triceps were knackered by that point but I've got a fantastic pump now.

Not tried those zercher squats yet but would love to give them a go sometime. How do they feel in comparison to normal ones? More difficult or a little easier?
| ranathari | ... | 30-01-2011 @ 16:37 | |
sumo ?? no ! no ! Member 1399, 557 posts | A lot harder. You need to keep yourself upright and really brace your core so the bar doesn't pull you forward. I'm doing them as a squat variation now to help build some upper back strength for my deadlifts.
