first few sets were warm ups so needed m light to get in2 it n get the cold out of my bones Grin when i have seen medleys in comps they are much shorter distances than i did so kept em lighter n covered more distance. plus the first farmers are flat to floor n worse than a deficit dead and the 2nd set have handles like coke cans, i got more out of it than when i have gone up2 160kg farmers in the past
any1 welcome to try the three for that distance at the weight i did n beat 29.00 secs after 5 runs.
the second farmers were used at uk north qualifier n liam o sullivan, col jones, wayne smith, luke fullebrook paul hodge struggled with them at 130kg, the rest the field did nothin with them

Steady tiger I had the second fastest time on the farmers only cus i tripped up like the tool I am they were easy. I have ones at my lock up that I use all the tim I love em Happy

i was just making the point that they were awkward n very thick handled n even at only 130kg no one flew with them, plus they were part of a medley so makes the time element irrelevant, maybe struggled was wrong word to use, only 5 peopled finished n got to the barrell,

No doubt Gray is making huge strides and will continue to improve

I wouldn't/couldn't make that statement though, as the strength in depth in competitors in England is pretty immense IMO

thanks guys awsome comments n really appreciate it.

james makes a fair n valid point the english lads are a very strong group, the talent pool is deep. however i think i can make it n plan to. i wouldnt be doing this otherwise, to much time energy and money not to achieve great things. i gave up a pretty successful and properous bb career to do this.

6 months i been at this now, in may i couldnt press a 100kg log, couldnt clean n press a 120kg axle, 120kg farmers were a struggle and a 110kg atlas stone was near on impossible, now look at my numbers. i jumped straight in to opens, against some of the best guys about n held my own n beat many in dif events. i see liam o'sullivan on the tv (top bloke) who i beat after 6 weeks training.

please do not read this as arrogance or bull s**t. i totally respect strongman and all strongmen, there are some beasts out there. see this as desire n will n passion, i will give everything to get to as near to the top in this country as i can.

once again great comments thanks guys

fair comment JC and I see it myself all the time, lads at strength tec like lloyd and rich gorvin putting 170+ overhead, among many other things.

It will definitely be an interesting year 2011. And to think 18 months ago I couldn't give a s**t about SM lol.

but... i still think gray will be in the pot next year.

i think ur achivement in 6 weeks is outstanding mate

but theres one thing in strongman which is a b**ch and thats "TIME"

it takes its toll and after a while it f**ks ur body up some more than others
i reakon strongman is one sport in which u can have litle good months and long bad months because ur body takes a batterring
