vegetarian with a big deadlift - who would have thought... Member 340, 13300 posts SQ 315, BP 190, DL 350855.0 kgs @ 110kgs UnEq | Just an aside to the main debate a friend of mine called Fivos Averkiou competed in Londons Strongest Man (Novice) and the Anglian bodybuilding champs on the same weekend a couple of years ago. Think he won the bodybuilding show and did respectably well in the strongman which was his first comp'. Strong bloke, lifetime natural and stays in very good shape year round.

tabbouleh and fattoush salads were very refreshing Member 267, 8548 posts SQ 220, BP 165, DL 250635.0 kgs @ 90kgs Eq | If you look at the physiques of top level powerlifters in the 100s and 110s (and even some of the shorter 90 guys), they generally look like off season bodybuilders.

You think so? I haven't noticed many bodybuilder-type physiques at powerlifting comps, although I'm not really looking out for that sort of thing!

He was surprised as to how muscular some of the guys were (he lifted in the 110 class). It's more apparent when you stand next to them. The Ukranians and Russians tend to keep their bodyfat levels relatively low and are built like bulls.

Thing thinks he can decide what goes here. He cant Member 354, 1452 posts | Post Edited: 06.05.2010 @ 15:38 PM by Stetec Well, this could go on and on, its all opinion really. I'm not suggesting a body builder could compete and then jump straight in and win WSM! I just mean that the transition into strongman would be easier than the other way around. Not necessarily talking about winning but competing and doing fairly well at it.

Re; DNP It raises your internal body temperature by a few degrees which turns you into a fat burning machine (upto 1lb a day has been recorded) It also causes you to sweat like a mofo, turns your bodily fluids yellow (yes, including that one) and makes you extremely lethargic. On top of all this, it's relatively easy to overdose on (overdose amount is not that far away from effective usage amount) and the OD side effect is normally death. When I was regularly reading MT forums, I got fascinated with the amount of people posting logs about this stuff. I'm sure it must be easier to just watch your cals and do some bloody cardio!
