 old age traveller Member 332, 7867 posts | great to see the guys in action big z has demi-god like status amongst his fans (deservedly) mark performed really well winning the stones to take 2nd place overall terry seemed a little distracted helping to sort the comp out cannot of helped him get "in the zone" as will as alluded the management team that put this comp together really had not a clue about strongman the m/c's were appalling none of the events were tested beforehand leading to problems when the events were already underway no-one managed to get the last stone up although a few had close misses with mark being the closest | ||

 Trump will get another four years Member 126, 16707 posts SQ 160, BP 110, DL 225495.0 kgs @ 75kgs UnEq | mark did a quality show. he was so close to getting the last stone up (twice), which no-one else, including Z, looked like lifting. thought the booing of dymek and the english competitors from the lithuanian fans was well out of order. those mc's shouldnt be let anywhere near a strongman competition ever again. it was cringeworthy! | ||

Those blue peter presenters were out of their depth and annoying. It was a reall shame as it was not a good impression of how a top level strength sport should be organsied. Definatly made for tv feel, and forget everything else. Not even a leader board went up, and the audience wasn't given much info at all! Mind you Big Z was a beast and Mark had a blinder being very conistant throughout. He was close to that last stone. Both attempts close. If it wasn't for the slight stagger back as he got it on his thighs it might have gone. Ohh... and Big Z is F'N BEAST!! | ||

I think everyone would benefit from maybe sharing your thoughts and constructive criticism, via the website. & I havent been to one strongman show that hasnt had, a hicup. glad you all made the trip though. | ||

old age traveller Member 332, 7867 posts | log was announced as 140kg i have it on good authority it was actually 130kg massive z got 8 reps including 1 with a tyre on one loading pin all 1 motions felix got 4 reps martin and the slovakian no repped the farmers were announced at 150kg but were 130kg all guys but 1 (simon s pulled hamstring)finished this most in fast times car deadlift think the ukraine guy won with 18 mark f and z got 16 tel 11? (after trapping his foot!) most guys up around double figures only 1 no repper the stones used yesterday now belong to riche allen and will be used in next years wales strongest man | ||
