2nd go mate, 105 last week( but that was after 5 singles on the Oly bar with 120). Now i've had a go on the logs i want 125 short shrift.
I got the above on the 8", which is harder? or is it down to personal.
I'm cheating a bit cos my whole training for the past few years is geared to Push press and DL, my fave lifts.
I'm in the August Bank Holiday comp at Reading, i'll probably be the oldest competitor there (41) but i'm up for giving these heavy and young bucks a scare

Deadlift, 70x5, 120x5, 150x3, 190x1, 210x1, 240x1, 260x1.

Strict Militairy, 60x8, 80x5, 90x2.

Push press, 100x5, 110x2.

Felt burned tonight, my presses weren't convincing. I was repping 120 for sets of triples a few weeks ago.

Fat log,Clean + Press, 62x3, 82x2, 92x1 Strict.

Fat log, Clean + Push press, 102x1, 115xf,f,f, 102x1, 110xf,f, 102x1,1,1,1,1, 105xf.

Yoke, 180x40m, 220x20m, 260x20,20m, 240x20m, SLOOOOWWWWW!

Farmers, 52x40m, 72x40m, 92x20m, 105x20m,20m.

Viking press, 100x1,1.

Trained at the Olympic this afternoon, I really wanted to nail a 115 fat log today, i know i'm more than capable but It wouldn't f**king GO!!!
Yoke took about 2 hours on the 260 and Viking press was poor. Apart from all that had a good hard workout.

Yeah, the thing is, training at the Olympic and seeing all those nice SM toys, i just get carried away. No way was i doing pressing today and in hindsight it probably showed. But that log was sat there snarling at meGrin , Plus i go darn sarf in a few days with my daughter for what will be 5 heavy boozing days with me bro, so had to get a half decent sesh in. The problem wi me is i have zero patience, i want the SM lifts to be equal to my barbell lifts instantly, but it doesn't work that way, as i'm finding outWink

Wednesday 19th August 09.

Deadlift, 120x5, 150x3, 190x1, 220x1, 240x2, 280xf,f, 210x10.PB

Strict Militairy press (feet together), 60x3, 70x3, 75x3, 80x3, 85x3, 90x1, 95x1, 100x1.

Slight hip thrust, 102x1, 105xf.
87.5x3.

First 280DL got as far as the knees, 2nd didn't want to know. The 210 was continuous ( no bouncing) for the first 5-6, slight hitching and 10+ seconds rest before last 2.

Lovely jubbly, move those sets of 10 to 240 or so and you should see a big carryover to the big one.
