About time this Yorkshire f**kpig put a log up here.

I'm 41, a bricklayer/groundworker/ heavy alcohol consuming Man Utd nut job.

Been training " properly" for the past 11 years. Did a first time SM comp (90k Northerner)last April, came 6th out of 15, so not bad for an oldtimer. Best lifts, recent 275 DL last Sunday at the Olympic, 136 push press, 145 Continental clean, 130 Clean + Push press. Other lil strength feat is tearing a pack of cards in half in my local boozer in around a minute or so for money.
I'm getting into Strongman and LOVE the Olympic gym, and the fellas there are f**kin great.(no i'm not a bummer)
Anyway this is my latest report pasted off the Power & Bulk board,

Wednesday 29th July 09.

Militairy Press, 135x5, 175x4, 200x2, 220x1.

Push Press, 265x1,1,1,1,1.

Yoke, 485x20m, 525x20m, 620x20m.

Tyre flip, 770x1, 770x2, 770x4.

Viking press, 220x1. ( just a one off, mess about)

Back to Olympic gym. I went with my big pumpkin headed mate and we roared each other on on the event work. The 620 yoke was slow but a big improvement from the only time i've ever done it before (last April at the comp). Flipped the big tyre a few times, this was also a first timer.
If i could only do one exercise bang for buck for the rest of my life, i think tyre flipping would be it. Very enjoyable workout.

Btw this is in lbs for the Americans.
