Had a bowl of gluten free cornflakes (nestle)

Think of Kellogs, but more anaemic.

Raisins. Whole milk. Loads of honey.

Only food in the house remotely digestible before a weak workout.

In my best fast show impression... This week, I have mostly been eating f**k all.

Went to hospital with severe pain in my side a week ago today, and thought I was a gonna. A few days spent in hospital, nil by mouth, lots of tests, scans and antibiotics, and I’m now back home.

Diagnosis was a bad infection from diverticulitis.

I’m now 5kg down (Not a bad thing)

I’ve been eating next to nothing, drinking broths, some plain chicken, a few eggs, and a few sausages.

I’m hoping to start reintroducing some more food soon, and will be following a low FODMAP approach to help with my current condition. I do Feel like eating a real meal later mind.

Same.

Hope the pain is temporary.
My mum has Diverticulitis and she has had a couple of recent painful hospital admissions with it. Very slow to get appts and such so quite anxious about it in her 60s.

I feel bad that I once gave her ghost chilli kebabs.

Thanks guys.

I’m home now and on the mend. Honestly, the pain inside my guts was the worst physical pain I’ve ever been in. I thought I was going to explode at one point.

However, I’m now pain free and moving on. 5kg’s down mind due to a reduction in calories, but that’s not a bad thing.

I’m currently eating a low FODMAP diet, but slowly reintroducing fibre. No pain at present, so that’s a positive.

It’s quite depressing though, I’m now struggling mentally with all the foods I want to eat but can’t.

Today consisted of some ham, cheese and butter as a snack.

Some sausages.

Then some Asda tinned mackerel in a spicy sauce (A guilty pleasure).

All in all, calories just 1000 today... Appetites not really been up to much today.

A serving of Huel earlier, with an added protein scoop.

Two whole meal tortillas with chicken, salad and various sauces.

A protein shake and some shreddies.

Quite mundane really.

Sounds more like food, though!

I've been eating like at utter t**t all weekend, I feel perfectly happy but my subconscious is apparently deeply emotionally unstable. Only actual meal was tonight: after two contestants on Masterchef Australia both made dan dan noodles on Thursday, I decided to make them tonight. Very nice too, I should have them more often. There's excess topping in the fridge, so it'll probably be Tuesday's dinner too.

Was this from the new series of Aussie masterchef?

I've not watched it since Gary, George and Matt left, and I don't know how I feel about new hosts... I used to love the show, so don't want it tarnished.

Yesterday consisted of a serving of Huel black, some added whey and then some carrot sticks for a snack.

We were at the beach all day, so I thought let's get fish and chips for the drive home... Sadly it was a terrible experience. I asked for extra salt and vinegar, and instead I actually had none. The piece of sole was tasteless, and one of the kids had a piece of a fryer basket in their chips.

The only reliable part of the meal for me was the saveloy. For some reason, I just cant resist them.

It is the new season. They were very clever: by making it a "back to win" season, everybody BUT the judges is somebody we already care about. (And the new judges settled in very fast and are excellent, happily.)
