nice benching , i would say you are slightly ahead of me at the moment , I managed 2x100k paused close grip this week.

How close was it? I'm not sure I could do two paused close grips at 100, but probably wouldn't be miles off. Actually, I am thinking of moving my grip in a bit because my shoulder is creaking a little bit. Maybe I'll try a paused session next time to see where I'm at.


Today I thought I would try working up a bit in squats to see what it felt like. And the short answer is: heavy! Actually, I didn't push it too much because I haven't squatted for so long apart from the last couple of weeks of 20s. The weight wasn't tough, it just felt heavy on my shoulders-forgotten what it felt like I suppose.

Worked up to 110 for a single and then 65 for 20.

Db bench 32kg/20

This was pretty tough. It might be time to start cutting the reps as the weight goes up. The plan is 20 then 17,14,11,8 and maybe 5 s before starting with 20s again.

Same plan as for the db bench although I will milk 20s up to at least 100 first.

thats some decent dumbell benching. i hate dumbell bench it just hurts.

It's pretty much my favourite pressing movement at the minute mate. It only cuases problems (touch wood) if I go too heavy on it, so I'm a bit wary.

I'm pretty sure my chins count for twice as much as anyone else too! I'll video some tomorrow if I remember. Maybe I'll have a go at cracking 13 chins for a new pb-they might get a bit ropey technique-wise after 8 or 9, but we'll see.
