There's been a freedom of information request to the office of national statistics about what the death rate from covid 19 is where there are no other co morbidities and covid is the only attributable cause .
This video breaks it down quite nicely and the revelations are quite startling :

some of you may wish to use this video as an opportunity to question vaccine efficacy please don't it is forbidden and will lead to the thread being closed so lets discuss this nicely without chucking insults at people with different views.

But Ed, this is bo***cks. I’m disappointed.

Comorbidities include asthma, bad backs, broken arms… “deaths without comorbidities” is not a useful statistic.

The same statistics show that the average COVID death would be expected to have ten years of extra life. And they separate people who died BECAUSE of COVID from those who died of something else, but with COVID.

127,704 excess deaths. Countries with lockdowns and no serious outbreaks had negative excess deaths, so these deaths are caused by COVID, not by lockdowns. People waiting for treatment with other issues is a serious problem, but it’s caused by hospitals being busy dealing with COVID (and perennial NHS underfunding).

I shall not ban you for reopening this topic. But don’t keep falling for this crap.

I actually think this is a pretty bad stat. 17,000 TOTALLY healthy people diedd due to covid. That's a massive number. How many TOTALLY healthy people have you ever known who have died from flu? None, I'd expect.

Not quiet.

The figures reported here (and incidenatley on news channels such as GB news and Talk radio...)Its 7.5k people with no underlying health conditions but the average age is still 82 for these people,

worrying is the bit in the post which suggest we could have lost 50k persons due to late/ poorly treated cancer as a direct result of covid prioritisation? As Rick said, the NHS has been or has appeared to be closed for everything except the vid these past 2 years.

The effectiveness of the interventions palced on us these past 2 years needs serious discussion and evaluation to fill the statistical gaps and expert opposition needs to be heard. Until then we will have all sorts of conspiracy theories to fill these voids.

So 7,500 fit and healthy people (without comorbidities) are all that have died from Covid? Hardly worth locking down for that number seems to be the argument I'm hearing behind this.

Comorbidities include
obesity (28% of the adult population)
Diabetes (4 million people)
Cancer (3 million and a third to a half of us will have it in our lifetimes)
Heart disease (7.6 million currently living with that)

That's a lot of people vulnerable to Covid, tens of millions. Shouldn't the argument be; Why hasn't the NHS been properly funded, so cancer patients and Covid patients could all be treated?

No, it's closed BY Covid, not "for" Covid. It's not prioritisation for anything other than clinical need - the Covid cases being treated in ICU would all die without that treatment (that's what intensive care means). The decisions to reduce mitigations led us to this, not caused it.

expert opposition needs to be heard. Until then we will have all sorts of conspiracy theories to fill these voids.

Apparently we will and heaven knows we have here. But there simply isn't any credible expert opposition; the vast majority of the professionals and experts are on one side, and a handful of discredited con artists and nutters are on the other. That sounds harsh, but it's simply true.

Of course, there are variations on the spectrum of opinion, from whether the likes of NZ and South Korea got it right to whether the bulk of the west did. And then there are outliers like Sweden, and increasingly us. But the bulk of the expert opinion, and now more and more the evidence from the likes of Sweden, lies in a pretty narrow range.

Incidentally, Sikora made this wildly speculative claim in the first half of 2020, saying that "if this lasted another six months there could be".

So far, the number of excess cancer deaths recorded during the pandemic is... well, basically zero.

My oldest friend died of cancer last year at the age of 51 , He spent a year being unable to get a face to face appointment with a Doctor whilst being told via telephone appointments that he had acid reflux , only when he was in so much pain he went to A and E did he find out that he had throat cancer 8 weeks later he was dead .
70.4% reduction in urgent referals , clearly that wont make any difference
41.5% reduction in chemotherapy attendance well that can't possibly have an effect

https://bmjopen.bmj.com/content/10/11/e043828 thats a link to bmj article on it

Conclusions Dramatic reductions were detected in the demand for, and supply of, cancer services which have not fully recovered with lockdown easing. These may contribute, over a 1-year time horizon, to substantial excess mortality among people with cancer and multimorbidity. It is urgent to understand how the recovery of general practitioner, oncology and other hospital services might best mitigate these long-term excess mortality risks.

here's a link to the definition of comorbidity https://www.verywellhealth.com/comorbidity-5081615
severe asma i will give you but trying to suggest a broken arm or a bad back is a comorbidity is just disingenuous if you go to the ONS site there's a list of the top ten comorbidities of people dying with covid and strangely neither a bad back or broken arm are listed .

If you think that the best course of action on me posting this video is to ban me then i think you should definitely act on your convictions and ban me from the site

I'm very sorry for your loss, Ed, but this sort of thing happened all the time before COVID too. There is no doubt that we will see impacts in the future from NHS congestion, but we haven't seen them yet - in fact, Sikora tweeted this morning to say precisely that, attempting to distance himself from having this number pinned on his name. The excess cancer death toll thus far rounds to zero.

And, again, those delays are not because of lockdowns - they're because of the burden of treating COVID patients. It is something we could probably have attenuated with different policies, but not *looser* ones!

And yes, the things I mentioned ARE classed as comorbidities and ARE counted in that analysis. They may not be the most common, but it does nicely illustrate the ridiculousness of the number. People think "with comorbidities" means "at death's door". But it doesn't. Loads of people have them. I have several. Most people will by the end of their fifties. These aren't people who were going to die tomorrow anyway; on average they'd have lived another decade without COVID. If you're saying those deaths don't matter, don't count somehow, then you're a much worse person than I think you are.

(And that's before we get to the life-changing, debilitating effects on the people who had a bad case and DIDN'T die...)

Here's a thread explaining it better than I can: http://twitter.com/VictimOfMaths/status/1485570730867765251?s=...

As to that video... the whole "freedom of information request" thing is telling. It makes it sound like he's uncovering some sort of secret narrative that The Powers don't want you to know. But it's just bo***cks. ALL of that data was already in the public domain, released regularly. He's just selling his product.

Not coincidentally, he's now making upwards of £30K a month from this crap: http://twitter.com/MedCrisis/status/1485755627393716225?s=20

I don't think you're a bad person, or a stupid one. I'm not going to ban you (though I'll probably end up locking this before long). But you are letting yourself be conned by grifters.

Ed hasnt fallen for conspiracy theories by quacks. To suggest he has is condesending.

The point I raised was that descending opposition has been censored. Not all these descending voices are quacks.

The point I would really like to make is this, the government advisers claimed that by January that 2-5 thousand people would be dead every day by Omricon. These quacks have been wrong on every single model. If we listened to them we would have been in lockdown all christmass and still in lockdown now. They need challenging. The worlds in disorder, we need opposition for the sake of freedom.

Agreed, even if a person doesn't agree with the content/views/methods of a group pushing back it should very much be appreciated.

It is the duty of some number of folk to stand in the way of a Government (or any other all powerful type group) steam rolling a population into what they want. Even if you agree with a Gov. decisions it is a bad place to be when everyone rolls over.

Some people need to act as brakes. If they want to or not. Absolute power, corrupts absolutely.

Exactly,

You know, if it wasnt for the brave 100 back bench rebels we would have gone into yet another lockdown in December. As it stands, England is one of the very few countries that currently resemble a democracy.2 years on and our world is unrecognisable.

There is a shift in freedom of speech though. Just turn over to GB news or listen to talk radio, the past 4 weeks they appear to have been given the green light to challenge and question the narrative. All I want is balanced debate, hypothesis tested and an end to demonising anyone (expert or not) that dare challenge the state.

I'm just going to leave this remarkable-in-both-directions statement here for others to marvel at.

In the mean time, I struggle to see how suggesting that a small minority of the "descending" population have been duped is less condescending than claiming that the rest of the population have been duped. Hey ho.

I don't think you are bad person or a stupid one either Rick I just disagree with you .

I didn't tell you about my friend who died for your sympathy (although thankyou for it anyway) but merely to illustrate that i know someone who was clearly not diagnosed because of covid lockdowns and an inability to be able to see a Doctor . In my opinion he clearly counts as an excess cancer death especially as early diagnosis is particularly important in successful treatment , and actually looking down the throat is an important part of diagnosis .

does Quimron ehud count as a shyster and a grifter ? I've done a google search to try and find anything suggesting he is and i can't find anything.
He's the head of immunology and microbiology at Televiv university
https://english.tau.ac.il/profile/ehudq

and this is the open letter he wrote to the Israeli government:

https://brownstone.org/articles/ehud-qimrons-powerful-letter-to-the-israeli-ministry-of-health/
I don't expect you to agree with me , especially as other than the fact i don't agree with vaccine mandates you don't know what i think as i haven't said , mainly because i'm not absolutely certain what i think .

I'm well aware that my prejudices mean i start from a position of being extremely distrusting of Government and authority. I will go away and look at the links you posted
and give them some thought .
