I'd love to see Z get a full years training under his belt and stay injury free. One last hurrah would be great.

Shaw is an interesting one, and has made no comments yet post comp. It does seem he had some kind of injury but Thors rants have completely overshadowed it.

I wonder how it will be mentioned in the airing of the show. Thor was clearly pissed off on the podium, and emotions running high.

I imagine thors screen time will be edited down to the bare minimum they can get away with.

Im looking forward to watching it come christmas.

I've not been Hall's biggest fan over the years...here's an unequivocal well done to him for winning the Title. It will be interesting to see what happens over the next year if he retires - the sport may be a little "top heavy" atm but the talent is there I believe, and without Hall maybe there will be slightly less emphasis on Max events and the gap will close?

I do wish we could actually get to see this event "Live", but it is a Made-For-TV Program after all.

He's impressed me the most this time around! Very good to watch and a serious contender going forwards IMO

Congrats to Eddie though; he's proved a lot of folk wrong, including myself as I said I didn't think he'd do it, but he has and it's great to have the title back on these shores Grin

Thor, well, life's a b**ch at times, you've just gotta accept it, crack on and come back stronger! Shaw, for me, ran out of steam and has been shown to have a few areas he's not as good on, as we all thought he'd be, but do think that Ed and Thor (more so) have improved massively in those areas! Thors pressing has come on leaps and bounds!

Z, he competed and I'd say that'll be good enough for him! We all knew and he knew he was nowhere near 100%, but still got to the finals! I do wonder if this will be his year of retirement too, or whether he'll give it one last bash and be done! 50/50 for me on that!

I think Thor will win next year. I hope he wins it. He is the best strongman to never win it by miles.

I don't see Ed going back on his word.

We all know he's pushed it hard in the last few years, his body and efforts have gone to the extremes all in pursuit of one goal... Which he's now achieved.

He's done what he wanted to do, now he can reduce the risks to his health and take his foot off the gas. He said he still wants to compete on the UK circuit, but he's done with worlds.

He's got nothing left to prove now, he's done the ultimate in his eyes.

Brian Shaw has just posted on Instagram a good, humble post.

He's said that he badly tore his hamstring on the deadlift, but strapped it up and gave it his all.

Fair play to him. Hope he or Z win next year.

There was a subtle dig at worlds though I think, he says they'll not mention his tear on tv

Injuries happen. Tough luck! If he tore his hamstring during deadlift, what difference does it make? It was the plane pull that messed it up.

Big Shaw fan, but want Thor to win next year.

Do people think thor will be back next year?

I wondered if there was a possibility he would choose not to compete due to his beef with the organisers. Or he might not be invited back after his social media outburst.

Seems a bit unfair since they were bigging up eddies injury the whole show last time. He said it cost him the title so... you could kind of compare that with thor if people wanna say eddie never whined. Amazing performance no doubt last year. Doesn't matter now though.

I have an opportunity to troll, but keep it sensible.

Ed did mention his injury, but it was his crazy fans saying it cost him. Oh and of course the show mentioned it once or twice.

Brian wouldn't have won anyway. His plane pull was before deadlift.

Anyway hope Thor comes back next year.

Injuries happen in the sport. These guys push their bodies to the limit. No matter what I say on here, I respect all athletes.
