there hope for me yet lol

the way that the strength levels and weights shifted are changing every year is crazy but also puts an achievement of the guys putting the time effort and training into being able to do this.

when do you think 440 deadlift at the worlds will be the norm?

I put Mark down because there was talk at one of Denny's comps of him going for a 400kg pull soon.

I was talking to Boar about this on Tuesday. Will there come a time where someone will pull 500+ or is there a limit to what the human body can cope with?

being realistic, with training attadues nutrition gentetics and chemical use the 500 barrier could be sooner rather than later IMO

But then will 600/700/800 become possible. I was watching a WSM final from the 80s the other night and comparing the weights then to now.

Hard to think about what sort of weights they will be shifting in WSM in another 20 years.

You would think so hey? But f**k knows

I'm not sure MAX Deadlifts (without a suit) are MUCH more than 10 years ago

There may be more people doing those huge pulls, but the actual max numbers aren't hugely different

Kaz supposedly deadlifted 400kg+

The top deadlifts weights in WSM now are not hugely different, just more guys doing it.

I am not sure 500kg will be possible in the near future. The body can only take so much. Just my opinion though.

there weren't guys like Shaw or that giant Icelandic boy doing big deadlifts before, the rules are different for guys like them

if someone the size of Bolton can pull 460, what about someone 6 inches taller and a hundred pounds heavier(I realise just being bigger doesn't make you stronger, but you know where I'm coming from)

I think Andy Boulton said the limit to it is what you can actually keep hold of without using straps. Or at least that's what he thinks his litmit is?
Andy if you read this sorry if i miss quoted you

of course that is true. whether andy said it or not if you can't hold it you can't lift it. fortunately my grip isn't an issue
