I was close!
Was I thinking of your lifts at your first bsm or did I make them up?

You made them up. My first bsm was 2006 and was deadlifting 380 by then. I deadlifted 260 first time I ever deadlifted so 20kg would have been a poor improvement. When I did the southern qual for uk's I pulled 310 and that was 6 weeks after starting training

Terry that's impressive mate. You were meant to be strong

I don't think it's about ped's at all, loads of people take all sorts, have for 100 years. Genetics of course yes, while terry pulled 260kg first time, i could do 60kg haha That isn't an excuse to not improve and get better though (infact my deadlift has gone up a good bit more than his). Personally i think smart consistent training and keeping the injuries at bay is the most important thing for a strongman.

Thats crazy, only handful people I know personally can pull over that number

I've been lifting a number of years and I am pretty sure I'll make 260 this year. To do that at a first ever attempt is just mind boggling.

I did 230 first time when I started at 110 kilos bodyweight . But I never learned to use my legs so my dead stayed pretty weak for all these years . Never liked it , rarely do it these days . But respect big deadlifters a lot.

I think I managed a 120 or something first time. Ugly as f**k form though, didnt know what I was doing.

Thats f....g huge pull as well though. I would thought someone pulling over 150 first time would be doing well! Suppose guys on here, arent your normal gym trainers

Same. I pulled 240 1 month into powerlifting from just training at the gym for vanity for 15 years. It took a month before I could grip the bar with 240 on it!It all went south after that! Injury after injury.Hell you can bench though. 210 wow!
I can only do it close/med grip nowadays.

I failed 140 first time I tried deadlifting! I've always hated the movement. I got up to 315kg at one point (about 2 years ago) but have since had problems with my hips so not progressed since.
