Red Bull is banned in netball Member 799, 1484 posts | I enjoyed it loads, as did the Wife and family! It was too short though, an hour and a half shw would have been better, but overall the whole series was better and much more exciting than recent years. Bigger and better things from Strongman in the future as more people are getting to see a quality product. I think there could be an even stronger British contingent next year, and that would make awesome viewing. Mike Jenkins was impressive and will be very dangerous in the future. Brian is just immense! Wow!

If Z had dead lifted in the heats would he still have got that 440, and if Brian and Terry hadn't dead lifted in the heats would they have got it? (Just generating discussion.)

I know what you mean about some of the U90 guys who can still load a stone at nearly double bodyweight at the end of a tough day. To be fair to the guys doing 200kg at the end of a run i think the size of the stone is prbably more of a problem than the actual weight of it.

With the heart rate monitors and a little more detail about our English athletes. Couple of things that I would of included but overall very enjoyable Liked the giant barbell squat and all the pressing events plus the WR in strongman on the DL

Has little understanding of the sugden Member 677, 11338 posts SQ 165, BP 125, DL 220510.0 kgs @ 80kgs UnEq | WSM was awesome this year. Much better coverage than previous few years. Loved it, but would have liked a couple more events in a 2 hour final show. It seemed strange seeing no fingals or stairs in the whole seried, but the events were solid. Standouts for me were: Lalas' performance in his heat, don't remember him from previous years so he was a bit of a surprise; Loz throughout the comp; Terrys final performance-shame he tore his hand on the first event; Jenkins was amazing, uninjured he looks dangerous; but probably most impressive and exciting for us Brits was Jack Macks performance-s**t hot in a really tough heat! He got 3 blocks pressed and was last! In most heats that would have been top 3. Deadlift hold was amazing. I was proudly wearing one of my UCC t-shirts whilst watching. Well done to all the Brits, I remember the time when you didn't really expect our lads to get to the final, or if they did they came in the last few places, not any more! Also, Felix was really good, shame he didn't quite qualify.

It would have been easier just to have taken the axle from the squat stand, and used that for the deadlifts surely?
