His time is within 12% of mine and I wasn't hanging around.
I don't know what effect not using sim mode has but I'd say his time is pretty decent.

Don't often read of Kickrs not playing properly with third party software. I thought that was generally one of the selling points as they were the one thing that software manufacturers would have tested.
My turbo really struggles to work consistently with TR in Erg mode despite working fine with everything else and a lot of effort from TR and many TR updates along the way.
It's probably worth getting in touch with Zwift. I've read of people being told to delete local settings files on their PC when they've had similar problems after updates

I will do.
From what I've read this isn't a kickr issue but a zwift one. I might just delete and reinstall tomorrow and see if that works.

That's sort of what I meant - the issues usually come from the software side - just usually if there are going to be problems the software makers seem to sort Kickrs out first, possibly because there are so many and they have a good reputation. It's certainly one of the reasons I regret not buying a Kickr.
One suggestion I did see, although not current, was to use the Wahoo IOS app to change the Kickr back to sim mode
Cuddles09/10/16 @ 21:10
Yeah I've seen that a lot, and tried it. No luck.
It's proving quite frustrating. If I was paying for zwift I'd be very annoyed!

Raised a support ticket with them. Told them I'd tried everything and sent them my log files. Got the response 'Please try our troubleshooting guide and if that doesn't work send us your log files'.
I'm lost for words.

Not very impressive.
In contrast TR. couldn't have been more helpful when I had problems, in addition to which they gave me a couple of months free.

This matches my initial impressions. Zwift have got something unique and potentially brilliant. Trainerroad know how to run a customer service led business.
Combine the two and they'd be deadly. But right now, Zwift for me is useless for anything other than doing a trainerraod style workout while looking at some VR.

yea, when I emailed TR about a problem , the guy couldn't be more helpful , even emailed my a couple of days later to see if everything was going ok !!
sharpen up Zwift people !!
Steve, your pal Pete won tonites race , wowzers ... 375 watts for 20 minutes , 4.57W/Kg .... is there any chance we will ever be close to that good ? or is he just a natural racer ?

That puts him in the middle of Cat 2 according to Coggans chart.
That's pretty damn good. I hope to be there in 2017. But none of us will be there soon!
It's doable.

Life's just not fair I guess! He didn't really ride a bike until a couple of years ago and is in his mid/late forties so not even young.
At least he doesn't run or swim

That can make a big difference.
You boys have to do stuff that us enlightened folk can ignore

Finally got it working, on my own, after zwift were next to f**king useless. I'm using the Bluetooth on my phone and connecting via mobile link. Not perfect but it's working.
Did 15m at 348W today. It was meant to be a threshold test but I just didn't have it mentally. Been a tough week with some family s**t and I'm pretty drained.
The purpose was to see if the 330W I did the other week was an anomaly. I couldn't do it today but it feel very realistic. Maybe it wasn't an anomaly after all.
