Not being picky but that is never 415kg on the bar, more like 200 poss 220kg but no more. Anyway my mate Mick pulled 600kg alot faster and for reps.

just watched the video and noticed how he rolls the bar towards him before picking the weight up, this is the 3rd person now I have seen doing this. Is it just personal preference or is there a reason for it. Im just curious as like everyone else i am always looking to improve my lift!

I think the theory is that if the bar is moving it has some momentum and it's easier to lift a bar that's already in motion than a bar which is completely 'dead'. As to whether it works or not, possibly it's psychological - but then the mind is a powerful tool. I guess if you can lift more doing it then it works for you.

I remember Benni M saying that when he was in a tight suit it allowed him to get into a better starting position too.

I've tried it a few times. If I get the timing right it does work, if I get it wrong it messes up the lift.
