Thanks mate. Yeah, have been well rested before every session lately and had 3 days off so should be getting pbs tbh. Hopefully can carry on this form when I'm back at uni.
AvatarDomRedshaw
yet another decent session all round. squats didnt look too bad, IF they wasnt deep enough id say only an inch off

Cheers Dom, yeah i think depth is just on the limit.

28/12/11:

60kgx5, 100kgx5,5

- Some guy asked what I was doing, I said Sumo deadlifts and then he asked why are my hands inside my legs. He clearly didn't know what Sumo deadlifts were but carried on to say how I was 'jerking' it too much, I should hold it at lock out longer, 100kg is a heavy weight, you are going to hurt your back (although my back was straight). Just pissed me off completely before I had even started, why comment on something he clearly knows nothing about. Also put injuring my back in my head which was the worst thing. I have no issue with ppl giving me advice but don't tell me I will injure myself just because I'm doing something differently. Anyway...

140kgx2,2, 180kgx1,1, 200kgx1,1 (pb)

- first 200kg was horrible, lost balance at top and stumbled backwards but was locked out just about. 2nd 200kg flew up, locked out but still felt off balance at top, weird. Annoying as strength is clearly there.

Pulls ups: 5x5 bw

Barbell rows: 60kgx8, 70kgx8, 80kgx8, 90kgx8

Good mornings: barx5, 40kgx10, 50kgx10, 60kgx8

- someone else tried to give me advice on GMs, thinking I was trying to do squats lol.

30/12/11:

Clean and press:
barxloads, 40kg x 3c,3p, 60kg x 3c,3p
- bar I normally use was being used by someone else, felt s**t with this bar, nearly missed third clean on 60kg so left it there.

Push press:
40kgx5,5, 60kgx3, 70kgx3, 80kgx3, 85kgx2 (rep pb i think), 80kgx4,4

Cleans: bar was free so practiced clean technique
60kgx3c, 70kgx3c, 80kgx2c, 85kgx1c,1p (pb)
- was happy with this, clean on 85 was easy so went for the press as it was a pb.

Incline bench: CG+paused
60kgx5, 75kgx5,5,5,5,5

Overall another good session, pressing felt hard on 70kg but stuck to it and got some decent numbers

good session lad

02/01/12:

Squats:

barx5,5, 60kgx5,5, 100kgx3,3, 120kgx1,1, 145kgx2,2, 130kgx3,3,3

-3rd rep was probably there on first set but started good morning it on way up, so did reps on 130kg as well. Depending how squats feel next session, will probs repeat this session for 3,3 on 145kg or go heavier.

15" deadlift:

- back was hurting after squats and has been hurting on and off since last time I did 15". Tried to do them, hurt, so left it. Tried a lot of stances but all felt bad on my back.

Did light SLDL (thought I could do with some hamstring stuff):

60kgx8,8,8

Underhand rows:
60kgx10,10,10

Chin ups (paused at bottom):
bw x 5,5,5,5,5

Disappointing to say the least. Just didn't feel it today, squats felt f**king heavy. However, I have pulled 200kg from the floor and 180kgx8 from 15" last week... maybe a week off from heavy deadlifts would be sensible.
AvatarDomRedshaw
i missed deadlift session out last week, did some floor pulls @75% this week instead of 15"s n my back n hip feel alot better. i think i wont max out deadlifts too often now.

also i personally feel it wud b sensible if u dont do any deadlifting until after the 18th of march Tongue

After saying it would be sensible not to, I deadlifted today. I woke up with no back pain (surprisingly) and felt like I should do 15" deadlifts. Happy that I did Grin
