Then the next session last week I attempted deadlifts I worked up in singles up to 230 and had nothing else left!Hopefully this week will be better 20/12 Back squats 140 x 3, x 3, x 3 all over the place and very slow Power cleans (trying hook grip) 50 x 3 bit ropey 50 x 3 60 x 3 good 60 x 3 best set of lot Push press 60 x 5 70 x 5 80 x 5 90 x 4 lost grip after 4th rep 5th would have been there so wasn't too happy | ||

Dreading the next few weeks after how today's squats felt Bk sq 130 x 3, x 3, x 3 Thought I would start really light and work my way back up but my line and technique was so bad it actually felt really heavy. Not a good start Power cleans 60 x 3 , x 3, x 3 hook grip again Front squats 70 x 3, x 3 wasn't too bad was surprised how good they felt Leg press This was rushed at the end as was running out of time 200 x 5, x 5 | ||

Had a few problems last year whih resulted in me not really training for around 7 months. October I started trying some Olympic lifting (well at least attempting to). Snatching is completely alien to me but is still a working progress. Cleans have been ok but have been doing then abit longer. Possibly will try another strongman comp at some point but will have to try events first to see how badly I do! Last weeks training plus Mondays 11/3 Had a really s**t session with cleans last week so had someone watching form Power cleans Warmed up 90 x 2 + full clean + split jerk 100 x 3 105 x 2 105 x 1+full clean + split jerk 110 x 1 + full clean + split jerk all PBS 115 x 1+ full clean + split jerk all PBS Full clean 120 x 1+ split jerk all pbs Very happy with these felt like I could have power cleaned the 120 but thought I would leave it where it was for now. Front squat 110 x 3 120 x 3 120 x 3 13/3 Snatch balance to warm up Bar x 3, bar x 3 40 x 3 40 x 3 Snatch 40 x 3 40 x 3 50 x 3 50 x 3 50 x 3 All felt s**t Snatch pull 80 x 3 80 x 3 80 x 3 Bk squat 152.5 x 3, x 3, x 3 Things are slowly coming together but not quiet there yet I think I have spent too much time on 40kg which has made certain parts of the lift s**t as when i went to 50 it felt better will try the same next week 22/3 Long session today Split jerk 97.5 x 2, x 2 Push press 92.5 x 5, x 5 Axle clean and press for reps first time trying as James said about maybe doing midlands so thought I would have a go 70 x 2 80 x 2 90 x 1 105 x 1 pp x 1 split jerk felt easy enough will try and add 1 or 2 reps each week until I can't Deads 205 x 3 210 x 3, x 3 starting to feel hard now Bench 112.5 x 5 , x 5 , x 5 Dips Bw + 30kg x 6, x 6, x 6 Bicep curls Done 18/3 Snatch time again Snatch bal Bar x 3, x 3 40 x 3, x 3 Snatch 40 x 3 45 x 3 50 x 3 55 x 2 60 x 1, x 1 Felt better than last week Snatch pull 80 x 3, x 3, x 3 Bk squat 155 x 3, x 3, x 3 Training today so will see how that goes Hopefully can keep this going as losing track of some things I've done | ||

I wasn't too happy but will try and be abit more realistic next week Power cleans 100+ 1 jerk 110 x 1 before I went to jerk I went to reposition my hands and somehow dropped the bar off my chest 115 x f was hoping for 2 110 x 1 110 x 2+ jerk 110 x 2 + jerk 110 x 2 missed jerk Went to do full cleans and f**ked everything up head wasn't in it so after quite a few failed attempts i stopped Front squat 120 x 3, 120 x 3 22/3 Split jerk 100 x 2 100 x 2 These felt strange and very hard which I didn't understand as last week felt pretty easy Push press 95 x 5 95 x 5 Axle clean and press 105 x 4 (2 push press, 2 split jerks) After doing these i realised why my jerks were hard. I jerking on the opposite foot to which I do normally not sure how i did it but I did Deads 210 x 3, x 3, x 3 Had a big rest before 3rd and cooled down too much which made it feel harder Bench 115 x 5, x 5, x 5 Think will go to 4's next week Bit of rushed incline machine and barbell curls and home!! | ||

the big O Member 1370, 570 posts SQ 192.5, BP 140, DL 250582.5 kgs @ 88kgs UnEq | 25/3 Hips feel like they are getting tighter and tighter at the minute so knew this session was going to be difficult Snatch balance Bar x 3, x 3 40 x 3 45 x 3 Snatch 40 x 3, x 3 50 x 2, x 2 55 x 2 60 x 1 then failed a few knew things wernt going to get any better so moved on Snatch pull 85 x 3, x 3, x 3 Bk squat 157.5 x 3, x 3, x 3 27/3 Power cleans 90 x 1 100 x 1 110 x 1+1 was meant to do 2 but jerked first rep then lost my head 100 x 2+1, x 2+1, x 2+1 the jerks all ended up s**t being pressed out Front squat 120 x 3, x 3, x 3 Stones Worked out I havnt done these for around a year and a half so knew that it was going to be tough All loaded to 52 80 x 2 100 x 1 120 x 4 fails Luckily at this point James turned up and I asked to him look at what I was doing wrong 120 x 1, x 1, x 1 Ended up holding stone too low when I lapped it so I just couldn't quite get enough height on it James suggested holding it abit more under my chin and closer to my chest and it worked. Still wasn't as good as I had wished for so still not sure whether to put my name down for midlands or not so will try stones again next week and hopefully they go abit better | ||

Since I did 132 stone will be putting my name down for midlands and see how I get on | ||

Weighed in at around 94kg on Monday so need to watch my food from now on! 15/4 Axle for reps 105 x 3 (2 push press and 1 jerk) 105 x 5 (all push press) Deads 215 x 3, x 3, x 3 225 x 1 235 x 1 Felt like a great session back wasn't expecting to to go aswell as it did so very happy 17 /4 Stones to 48 inches 80 x 3 100 x 1 120 x 1 135 x 1 went for second but just missed it 135 x 2 Pleased with this session too. Farmers and yolk medley to to go on Friday hopefully that goes aswell as last two sessions have | ||
