Thanks ed It seems like it has taken a while for it to start making half decent gains but it definatley feels worth it now

Didn't train really last week had a day when I did some really s**t power cleans but was too tight so sacked the whole session off and stretched. Then the next session last week I attempted deadlifts I worked up in singles up to 230 and had nothing else left!

Hopefully this week will be better

90 x 4 lost grip after 4th rep 5th would have been there so wasn't too happy

Deadlifts (belted no straps)

Felt pretty tight after squats so had a really good stretch

190 x 5, x 5, x 5, x 5

Was surprised how s**t a few of the sets felt but managed to sort out my form and it felt better

First session back properly after Xmas. Done a bit of this and that but nothing major last week. Dreading the next few weeks after how today's squats felt

Bk sq

130 x 3, x 3, x 3

Thought I would start really light and work my way back up but my line and technique was so bad it actually felt really heavy. Not a good start

Power cleans 60 x 3 , x 3, x 3 hook grip again

Front squats

70 x 3, x 3 wasn't too bad was surprised how good they felt

Leg press

This was rushed at the end as was running out of time

It's been along time since posting on here. Had a few problems last year whih resulted in me not really training for around 7 months. October I started trying some Olympic lifting (well at least attempting to). Snatching is completely alien to me but is still a working progress. Cleans have been ok but have been doing then abit longer. Possibly will try another strongman comp at some point but will have to try events first to see how badly I do!

Very happy with these felt like I could have power cleaned the 120 but thought I would leave it where it was for now.

Things are slowly coming together but not quiet there yet I think I have spent too much time on 40kg which has made certain parts of the lift s**t as when i went to 50 it felt better will try the same next week

The PBS on the cleans gave me maybe abit too much confidence so today was quite rubbish. I wasn't too happy but will try and be abit more realistic next week

110 x 1 before I went to jerk I went to reposition my hands and somehow dropped the bar off my chest
115 x f was hoping for 2

110 x 2 missed jerk

Went to do full cleans and f**ked everything up head wasn't in it so after quite a few failed attempts i stopped

These felt strange and very hard which I didn't understand as last week felt pretty easy

After doing these i realised why my jerks were hard. I jerking on the opposite foot to which I do normally not sure how i did it but I did

Had a big rest before 3rd and cooled down too much which made it feel harder

It would be good to do midlands ed definatley. Going to give stones a go on wedsnesday if they go ok then I will 100% put my name down

Hips feel like they are getting tighter and tighter at the minute so knew this session was going to be difficult

Worked out I havnt done these for around a year and a half so knew that it was going to be tough

Luckily at this point James turned up and I asked to him look at what I was doing wrong

Ended up holding stone too low when I lapped it so I just couldn't quite get enough height on it James suggested holding it abit more under my chin and closer to my chest and it worked. Still wasn't as good as I had wished for so still not sure whether to put my name down for midlands or not so will try stones again next week and hopefully they go abit better

Push press

Axle one clean then press

105 x 3 failed 4th which was a jerk

Back felt tight and pressing had no leg drive at all

Ok session disappointed with the axle but everything else went well. Changing around sessions next week as the week after I won't be able to train so hopefully axle will go better and stones too. Will try yolk and farmers on Monday/Tuesday aswell

Had a week off last week as was visiting parents so just ate a lot of food and not a lot else. Weighed in at around 94kg on Monday so need to watch my food from now on!

What time you training on Friday? I wouldn't mind doing some yoke and farmers but won't be in till 6.45.

Cheers James. Cheque went in the post this morning to Dave meer so am definatley in!

Afraid I'm training at 2 mate and need to be out by 3:15 to get to do the school run. I'm on lates next week If your about though for the cleans.
