Never you mind. You're on it, that's all you need to know for now. Your ear will be whispered in shortly

Tony, I've got a sneaky feeling he may have been taking the piss, but at least I know your views on the topic! Grin

Unless you've played cricket, you would not believe the level of loyalty/commitment that is expected. ANY missed game is frowned upon and questioned and you are always watching your back because someone is after your place. But it keeps you on your toes and makes you perform - no other choice really! I had just missed 2 games the weekend before (Butlins) and am missing a game this weekend (but still have games on Friday night and Saturday) so I had to play really...

This is very true... I remember refusing to go on holidays etc. etc. because I would miss a game or two of cricket, silly really, but that's the way you are when you're really into something.

Sounds like you might be due a quick spell in the seconds to sort out all these absences though Wink

Hows the average looking?

Talk about a thread hijack LOL

Rob average is about 27, that was after 2 bad games at the start fot he season (the first being me forgetting how to hold a bat and the next getting fired off by a very dodgy LBW decision). Last 3 knocks have been 37, 38 and 34. You have to bear in mind though that I am sent in as the 'pinch hitter' and those scores are only taking me 7-9 overs so it gets us off to a flyer which is great when you have a long batting line up (like we do). Did the skipper's car roof in on Saturday, after hitting one over the clubhouse and then smashed a roof tile on Sunday - the woman wasn't very happy to say the least as someone else had done one of her windows in the night before! Looking forward to the 20-20 game on Friday night Grin
