Hi, I'm David, starting this journal to keep track of progress and for tips and criticism on workouts/form etc. Happy

Age - 19
Height - 6'2"
Weight - 80kg
PB's - Squat - 130
Deadlift - 160kg
Bench - 105kg
Military - 60kg
Push Press - 70kg
Long term goals - To gain enough strength to hopefully compete (powerlifting) with some degree of success
Short term goals - To increase military press PB, probably with 5/3/1

Hi. Where abouts are you/do you train?
If you get the chance to do a comp, go for it, whatever your numbers. It's a great experience even if you're not lifting "much", gives your training a boost, and it really helps to get a go on the platform before getting caught up in the numbers.

I'm in Hull and train here but will be moving next month for university, and ive only really just decided to give competing a try but i'm itching to get my feet wet and so think ill give one a try as soon as possible just to experience what goes on etc.

Poor session today, became frustrated on regular bench the weight just seemed heavy and more difficult than last week when I got a pb rep at 85 x4 Angry, thought I was weak at the bottom so decided to do the dead stop and whilst doing that found weakness in the top half so followed it up with floor press. All in all a poor day, no excuses will use this disappointed feeling to better motivate me when benching next week.

First week of 5/3/1 on military press, got the usual ego check in weight reduction, went well Happy. Also did a bit of rotator cuff work but nothing major, just want see these pressing numbers climb!

Thanks, think there progressing nicely and really want to get to 100 for 5 on them but that's a while away.
