Why don't you think you could make the olympics? Seems to me like the standards are reasonable enough. You power clean and push press 160 without much trouble. Power snatch 120?

I've had a s**tty elbow injury which has set me back quite a bit, big time on my pressing power. I did a 150 p. clean recently which is ok, and 120 push press which isn't very good.... Snatch, yeah I've done a 120 p. snatch, but snatch is just going nowhere very slowly! And I'm old now. I'm not exactly showing promise and time is properly against me. I'll be the best I can and that'll have to do!

You're only a couple of months older than me! Why has it taken me so long to get to where i am whereas other people are retiring at this age? I feel i could easily go past my pb's soon as well.

120 press Eek because of the pain?! I did 120 a few months after surgery the first time. I hurt myself.....

Time is against everyone. Don't you use some kind of anti-aging moisturizer?!

I won't lie, it was a painful press, but it was also f**king hard. I revert pretty quickly to my normal state (weak) if I stop training. You don't seem to? That's good....for you!

Yea i'm very lucky in that way i guess. After 3 months i tested a few lifts and they were only about 10-15% down. Mostly because my body weight was 10% down.

Yeah perhaps 24 reps may not be a great idea though? In fact, that's a f**k load of reps with your warmups too... Do you get the same pain if you do less work? Even with more weight?

My achilles is f**ked. I pushed it too hard at times to test it.....but these were for my knee tendonitis.

I haven't done squats without a bounce for a very long time and this was the first session. Actually i lie, i did 200x2 a few months ago to see how much strength i've lost, silly i know. I just drilled the technique in this session...very slow on the way down, then try get a little bounce at the bottom. 120x24 was overkill and something i'd never normally do, same with the 10's in warmup. In the past i've just gone for a very heavy 5 from day 1 and got away with it, now im being careful.

Plus, i'm just gonna cheat and get my knee injected in 2 weeks....hopefully they can do something with the achilles too.
