Power cleans and just gaining some muscle. Sorry to disappoint you. I really don't train them.

I did 190 when i first walked in a gym at 71kg. I did a terribly hitched 260 weighing 74? As soon as i started to get a good hang clean a year later, i remember locking out 280 no problem and i was surprised. I never tried a deadlift when i was lifting at my very best in, march 2012.

Edit - I did a charity push and pull. Did 240 axel, then failed 260 on lockout with my grip slipping.

No, it's all the zinc i take....yea, genetics. I think DL could be my best lift. When i started out i was 90 power clean and bench, and 190 DL.

Clean went to 125, bench 130, and DL 260 without doing them. Then i gave up bench after tearing my pec thinking i was a gymnast.

If i trained them, i think i would hurt alot somewhere within a month.

Nothing. I stopped doing it in 07 when i did 90x2.

I did a muscle snatch last year with 100, and did the same with an easy 90 last week as a one off. You know the vid of my muscle clean....you just rip it up, no hip drive into the bar, lock legs and don't attempt to come under the bar one bit. Well its the same with snatch, except i press out the last bit.

I WILL snatch again! In fact i started doing over head squats the other day and hurt my achilles.....that's when i decided to do powerlifting.

EDIT: i forgot, i did 110 hardly trying to get under at all, bent my knees a few degress, with a bit of a pressout. This was last year, I was bored.

Why don't you learn to do things properly? You've potential to be really good, but seem obsessed with as heavy as possible as quick as possible. It's not been working well based on your injury rate.

Not a dig by the way, just seems like you could be lifting much more if you have a bit more patience. If you can lift big weights just now with bad tech, then imagine what you could do with a good tech- it would be good to see! Happy

It was mostly jumping and sprinting that damaged me. Knee tendons were fine squatting heavy....but jump more than a few weeks, pain. Ankle and achilles surgeries were because of triple jump years ago. Pec tear was when i was at the track....so again athletics fault! I also have a curved spine thanks to the years of jumping. I am taking a step back for now though, i have no choice.

This is not going to be interesting at all for a while

Behind neck strict press
60x3
70x3
70x5

SLDL with a broken finger is pretty hard work
120kg x5x2

2 hours of boring rehab type work for achilles and knee.

Just bought an ultrasound machine. Getting to work with it! And some heel lifts because i'm too short Unhappy at 183cm.....to take pressure off the achilles so i can full squat.

There is some gymnast rings at lee valley indoor track. I went there the day after xmas 09. Had my big new cotton jumper on, stomach full to the brim, was gonna be a good day.

I was fascinated with the rings because it was my first time there. I started messing about on them when someone said they could do some hold on it where you kinda flip back a little then hold. I flipped all the way back around and didn't let go of the rings. Snap*

No time for games! I strapped my arm, was doing a lot of heavy squats and tempo (70%) runs in the snow for 3 months. Then started sprinting in April, my first comp in May jumped 7.60m and then pulled out and showed a could have gone 7.90m in that comp. The ankle was messed up though

Man, i could have done something...............

8.31 won olympics.....8.20 just to get there! 8.30 in the past usually does pretty well, like bronze/silver in world champs or Olympics. I barely trained for it (like weightlifting) which is why i think i would be great if my body liked it.

Broad jump was 3.51m 2 years ago, i never tested last year and i wish i did. I did 11.48m with 3 jumps in a row, you can see on my 2011-12 video i did this..well, the jump after the 11.48 where i went into the pit on my 2nd jump and i started at 7.30m
