Everyone that's met him and spent time with him, says he's a sound guy. Yeah he has a cockiness/confidence. That's why he's WSM.

He's definitely playing a character.

I'd prefer someone to act a jerk, but be nice. Rather than act nice, but be a c**t.

Plenty of 'nice guy' sports stars are c**ts. I've heard a certain superstar golfer is a prat, so is a great footballer

I was unsure about him initially because of the aggressive manner. I believe big strong guys should be gentlemanly, otherwise they are going to intimidate people, which isn't nice. But, he's grown on me, and people say he's a nice guy, which is good enough for me. I'm pleased he won WSM.

Eddie Hall Strongman is a brand. He has to sell it, THE BEAST !
It is the 21st century and it is marketing.

If you listen to the podcast he is fine, he done the business and won the title.
I like what I heard when he spoke about his dad and his son. The best of luck to him and his family.

I got flaws and we all have, on some days you would not like me but mostly I am a gentleman and scholar.

He a UK winner of the world strongest man for the first time in 24 years, a great achievement. Big congratulations from me and my family to Eddie and his family.
Good luck with the book, I will have copy for Christmas from my good lady.

Don't disagree with any of this but I personally dislike the character he is playing.

I lived in Kingston for a year and found myself in the same nightclub as premier league footballer (think he’s retired now) who’s always portrayed as an easy going, down to earth, ‘jack the lad’ type on TV. He came across as an enormous c**t.
At first it was funny watching him send his hangers on to speak to girls on his behalf… and then march over himself to do the ‘do you know who I am?’ when they/he didn’t get anywhere. He ran out of patience outside the club though, and some girl ended up under some pretty serious pressure to go home with him. He still ended the night empty handed but it was the sort of behaviour that makes you think, 'if there wasn't so many other people here, how far would that have went?'

People with power tend to be c**ts. Not everyone like, but many. It's the human ego!

To me being a WSM, or footballer is great. But a surgeon that has saved just one life, has achieved 1000 times more.

It's a different sort of achievement. You're of more value being a surgeon but it's much harder to become WSM. 100s of surgeons qualify every year but only 1 person becomes WSM.

I certainly did, a long with about a dozen other books. I've not started any of them yet.

Glenn Ross. In person he's the most timid person I've ever met. He was just sat there in the corner. I was a bit too shy to ask for his autograph, but his reply was done so in the most softly spoken tone it's like he was afraid to leave the house. His "television" personality and his demeanour off the television are polar opposites.
