What was your experience with Shaw?

Negative. Was all nice when the crowds and cameras was on him. Once they left he was a moody c**t.
We are all only human. Everyone has bad days mind. Just disapointing for someone whos been a huge shaw fan from the day he stepped on the scene.

Not at all the case when I seen him (no cameras), he was extremely nice, took pictures with everyone, was talking with everyone. Randomly asked how my comp was going etc I think if you would disappointed by someone being moody then at least at some point you would be disappointed with every person on the planet. Keep in mind they are all just normal human beings.

I like how you just repeated this as if Scruff hadn't already conceeded that point.

Knowing someone was having a bad day wouldn't stop you being disappointed if they came across t**t like on the obe occasion you happened to meet them.

That said, when i met Shaw (very briefly) he was perfectly polite and happy to take a picture.

Glenn Ross. In person he's the most timid person I've ever met. He was just sat there in the corner. I was a bit too shy to ask for his autograph, but his reply was done so in the most softly spoken tone it's like he was afraid to leave the house. His "television" personality and his demeanour off the television are polar opposites.

I got Glenn's autograph in 2001 and he didn't say a single word!

Maybe he knew of your zerchering tekkers and was intimidated.
I actually met him in a hospital, i can only assume he was having a day as s**t as my own but was a nice guy, approachable etc.

I met him at bodypower when he was just about to eat, he still took time to speak to me and have pictures. I found him very pleasant

I have not yet finished it but I can already tell you it's worth a read. Best book I've read so far.

One thing of note though is either he didn't actually write the book (reads like he has) or he may be off with his memory on some things as he says his 2nd comp had Felix in it and lists the events but he listed the novice events, not the events he competed with Felix against. I know this as not only was I in the crowd to watch them two, the novice comp the day before was also my first ever comp.

He won't have written it. It will be ghost written, very few people (especially athletes) actually write their own books as it would be badly done most of the time, they tell their story to an author who then puts it to paper. Details being wrong is weird, could be a few things I guess.

I can't see how he would find the time to write it even if he wanted to but you never know. Stating that he ran Felix close on a complete novice comp with 70-100kg barrel loading and 85kg log for reps would make me think he didn't even check over it though :/ (2009 so Mark had been to wsm multiple times by then, was anything but a novice)

Still, the books awesome

Pretty much all celeb books are ghost written. With good reason, writing a book is hard.
